While we don't anticipate Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4 happening anytime soon, a fourth movie revolving around Tom Holland's web-slinger appears to have started taking shape.
A lot of online scoopers have been making some bold claims about the Spider-Man: No Way Home follow-up lately, and we now have some very interesting comments from Tom Smith. With so many people on Twitter looking for clout, we'd advise taking this with a pinch of salt, but much of it lines up with what we've also been hearing.
As you can see, Smith believes that Holland has already signed up to appear in Spider-Man 4, while Zendaya is also being courted to return as MJ. That's not a shocker given her popularity and the fact the last movie quite blatantly teased the possibility of Michelle one day remembering Peter Parker.
It's looking like a decision has yet to be made when it comes to a director, though the hope seems to be that Jon Watts will return. How agreeable he'd be to that after leaving Fantastic Four due to apparent MCU fatigue is tough to say.
The comments on Spider-Man 4's potential 2024 release don't contain anything new, though we are intrigued by the news Miles Morales might also live in Peter's apartment block. We know Holland doesn't want to play the wall-crawler forever, and passing the mantle to a live-action Miles across this trilogy would likely be welcomed by fans.
After all, his popularity has only increased in recent years, whether it's in the comic books, the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, or the hit PS5 launch title Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
Stay tuned for the latest on Spider-Man 4 as we have it.
