With Marvel Comics announcing that "Thor" and "The First Avenger" will be their last movies before they let Disney do all of their up and coming films, DC and Warner Bros. MUST TAKE ACTION! Marvel has done a great job with casting big stars as well as up and comers for their characters. I think some superheroes are so big, that they don't need a big name like Superman. With Batman's success, Bale has the franchise on the right track and Reynolds starring in Green Lantern. With a character like The Flash, DC Comics should know they need something to make this movie pop against the Marvel haymakers about to be thrown at the box office. One actor who wants to be a superhero and is big enough to get the whole worlds attention: Brad Pitt.
Starring as Barry Allen aka The Flash.

Hollywood would go crazy! Taking us on inside looks of the set, and peeks of Brad in the costume. Could you imagine? If done right, shock waves would run through the comic book movie industry. One would wonder: "wouldn't he have been perfect for a couple of our roles?" "And why didn't we make it happen?" Just this thought alone makes you say "would Brad do it? Could Brad do it? And how much would the budget be?"
Sometimes in movie making you don't need a bunch of stars, just the right one. Seeing Brad rip through the streets as DC's red and yellow lighting bolt
would definitely prove that there's more to DC Comics than just Superman and Batman. It would also prove to Hollywood that Brad Pitt should have been a superhero a long time ago.

He is getting up there in age for a superhero flick. He would do better as a not so mainstream hero or sneak him in as a hero's parent or something. Or a villain. Remember, it took Nicholson to make us take Keaton seriously prior to 'Batman''s release.

I bet you Brad Pitt is still in better shape then half of hollywood right now!! and looks 10 years younger then an actor his age!!

It could work pretty well if he plays Barry and the torch gets passed to Wally after a movie or two.

Well - considering his age and at the risk of type casting him I think he could've made an excellent Nick Fury - 616 style!

he looks the part but he is 47. in the sequel he will be around 50. maybe if he plays Jay Garrick or an older barry who passes the torch over to wally?

Back then, maybe, but now, he's just too old. He has noticeably aged since "Ocean's 13". Just check out "Inglorious Basterds" and you'll see what i mean. XD

Love most of Brad Pitt movies but he's
too old for FLASH people talk about the
kinda shape he's in and that's true the
guy can get ripped, but it's not his body
that looks old but his FACE.

Loot at Sly Stallone and BIG LOU those guys are old
also just not fitness wise...STERIODS keeping
those bodies tight, but it cant stop the age lines in the face.

I would buy PITT as one of the GREEK GODS
or something like that, but not a main stream hero.
Im sorry the guy is too old looking check him out
next time you see him his face is aging.

my god...when i saw this tittle my original reaction was to type "what the [frick]?" to yell at you for your idea

but now that i started thinking about it...it could be pretty good
my idea for a flash movie is that; it starts with barry "dying" then goes to years later where wally is now the flash. At the end of the movie barry would come back, save wally's life and then die for real

Okay people, listen up!! Brad Pitt is definitely NOT too old to be the Flash. He looked older with the long, weird beard....but since he has shaved it off, he is his glorious, gorgeous self again! He looks a good 10 years younger than he is. Also, speaking of superheros, how old is Robert Downey, Jr? Christian Bale? And how old do they look? Brad is every bit as youthful as they are. And as for the body.....does anyone remember "Troy"? If that body wouldn't look amazing in the Flash suit, then I am blind! I know he has gotten older since Troy, but he can still outshine any actor you care to name!

@secretasianboy That was my point! for Brad to do 2 movies top! then West would take over!@smartchick I'm a dude! and I even know he would ROCK as the Flash ! all these other actors people name for this role can't hold a candle to Brad Pitt!!4 real !Hollywood can make him look 25

Those are not recent pics. Brad Pitt's age is showing now, and you'll only be able to get one decent Flash movie from him. Looks like you're 10 years too late.
Gab
Gab - 10/22/2010, 1:44 PM
@Protonite says who!! you maybe! but I bet if his people called DC and said he wanted the role I bet he could get it! how old is Robert Downey JR! BTW Barry Allen anit ah kid!

Gab: Pitt is aging, but maybe there's something
to what your suggesting...as an aging FLASH he
wants to settle down and turn his city and spot
in the league over to someone else.In comes WALLY
flash 2.0 because trying to get two movies out
of OLD BRAD it's not going to work unless
he's in teacher mode in the second movie.
With make-up and camera angles
and whatever else they do it could be done because we
know fitness wise PITT is going to be on point!!!
Gab
Gab - 10/22/2010, 4:51 PM
@Blade4040 yup! thats my point you dig!the 1st movie is all Barry Allen!the 2nd movie West comes in to play the 3rd movie Brad has a small part then gone for good! but by that time Flash would be a BIG HIT!
Gab
Gab - 10/22/2010, 7:16 PM
he is the same age as Jhonny Depp 1963 they people cry for him to be in movies!
Protonite
Protonite - 10/22/2010, 9:52 PM
@ Gab - LOL!! Defending your article with a vengeance? Over-sensitive much? Relax. I never said he wouldn't get the part. I just meant to say he would've been a better candidate for a trilogy 10 years ago, when he was 37 years old.

Besides, Robert Downey Jr was barely 42 when they started filming Iron Man. With Flash, filming would only be able to begin next year at the earliest, and release the following year. Which means Pitt will be 49 by the time the movie comes out. Then, if it's any good like TDK, the sequel would take at least another 2-3 years to make. Pitt would be 52 by then, which is not exactly ideal. The final movie would make him 54-55 years old, assuming there are no delays.

And who refers to a 37 year old as "kid"? Are you 60 or something?

Brad Pitt is a super hero in his own right and does not need a CBM.
