RUMOR: THE FLASH Solo Movie FLASHPOINT To Include Gal Gadot As WONDER WOMAN

Wonder Woman is a major player in the Flashpoint comic, a theme that will carry over into film as a new report suggests that we will see Gal Gadot as everyone's favorite Amazon Princess in the movie.

Forbes has a great write-up today detailing Wonder Woman's historic run in the box-office. It is well worth the read, but it's the blurb at the end that is sure to catch readers attention.

While outlining the future of The Amazon Princess, the outlet is reporting that not only will we see star Gal Gadot pick up the Lasso Of Truth in her sequel planned for 2019, but also in The Flash film as well that is now being titled Flashpoint.

The info is as stated, "Gadot is also expected to reprise her role as Wonder Woman in the upcoming production of Flashpoint, which will be Flash's solo movie but is also more of another superhero team-up featuring several additional DC superheroes. Flashpoint is currently scheduled to release in 2020. So we'll see Wonder Woman twice this year, again in 2019, and in 2020. That's an average of one appearance every year, and it means Wonder Woman could potentially appear in as many different films as Batman will over the course of the next few years in the DCEU."

Another little interesting bit in the above quote is that Flashpoint is aiming for a 2020 release date. It is also worth noting that there is mention of other heroes appearing in the film as well. Cyborg, another main player from the Flashpoint comic storyline, was rumored to a part of The Flash solo film when Rick Famuyiwa was on board to direct.

While all of this info is extremely plausible, we will keep it in the rumor column until Warner Brothers makes an official announcement. You can catch Wonder Woman in her next appearance in Justice League, in theaters on November 17, 2017.

Put that broad in everything. DCU? Nah, the WWU.

@MonsterSquad35 - Uhhh, have you not read Flashpoint comic, or seen the animated movie?

Oh boy, so it will be mostly comic accurate?
I still have my doubts, it's a rumor after all...

@Doomsday8888 - Hopefully this just means they're smart enough to keep the one piece of success WB has had through the Flashpoint "reboot"... everyone else's character & actors can change, but with Gadot involved, she stays intact.

I like it.

@SKetCH - But there are so many story-lines they can use that has WW in without doing Flashpoint. Mark my words, they have a plan. Johns's brain is on hyper-drive right now.

I would assume all the heroes would reprise there respective roles besides Batman. Jeffery Dean Morgan as Thomas Wayne is going to be bananas.

@WruceBayne - Well they have to have the letter scene in it, so Affleck should have a small role as well.

@Philip - I agree. Affleck doesn't have to suit up for that role to make that scene though.

So, I didn't love WW, I actually think it's just a solid movie, but if this is going to be an event film with multiple heroes, why don't we just give the gig to Patty after she finishes up work on Wonder Woman 2? I would love to see her take on Flashpoint. At the same time, if they somehow got choices like Raimi or Robert Zemeckis, then I'd prefer that. However, they've lost 2 directors that were officially signed on and they're having difficulty with a replacement--Patty seems like a no brainer to me.
