Will The Midseason Premiere Of ARROW See Oliver And Felicity Become Enemies?

Oliver (Stephen Amell) was manipulated into committing a pretty heinous crime that resulted in a devastating tragedy for Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). Will the former lovers now become bitter enemies?

If you haven't been keeping up with Arrow season 5, one thing you need to know is that Prometheus has been one step ahead of Oliver at every turn.  His latest subterfuge had the Green Arrow believing he was fighting Prometheus when he was really taking down Felicity's new boyfriend, Billy.  Without going into spoiler territory, lets just say Billy didn't fare too well.  With yet more blood on his hands, Oliver may have made his most powerful enemy yet in Overwatch.  Or has he?

Showrunner Wendy Mericle reveals, "One thing Felicity is not going to do, I can tell you for sure, is blame Oliver. She recognizes the manipulations that have led to this situation.  Her heart is broken in that last moment for Oliver and for Malone and for herself.  Felicity has set her sights on Prometheus.  This season we have said we’re going to take her to a darker place, and you’re seeing the genesis of the reason why, right here.  [Felicity]  is going to meet some people who are both a bit tied to her past but also very much tied to this new future she’s contemplating and that’s going to draw her away from the team and lead her to do some things that are pretty morally questionable."

Sure, Oliver was duped but it seems a little odd that Felicity wouldn't at least place some of the blame at his feet.  But then again, all of the sidekicks have made the choice themselves to fight by Oliver's side and they've all had numerous opportunities to walk away from Team Arrow.  Still, there's probably going to be one member of the team who places the blame on Green Arrow and it's the man underneath the domino mask.

Arrow returns from midseason hiatus on January 25 with an episode titled, "Who Are You?", where the team will attempt to solve the mystery of a seemingly ressurected Laurel Lance.

@blackandyellow - I don't think rotten tomatoes is supposed to be for tv shows.

@blackandyellow - Man if you're using the RT score for Arrow to counter the belief that RT matters and make some sort of statement that BvS and SS's RT score actually don't matter, and that they're good movies, then you're grossly MISINFORMED.

Rotten Tomatoes for movies and TV work DIFFERENT. TV Rotten Tomatoe scores AREN'T accurate at all. They only review first couple of episodes of a season, and that determines the entire score. So not very accurate at all. That's why you see Arrow season 4 having a higher rt score than Daredevil season 2.

Because more people gave a fresh review for those first couple eps of season 4 than the people who gave fresh for Daredevil.

So this picture doesn't mean jack shit.

@Django79 - You sure like to blindly read into shit. You should make it a New Year's resolution to stop that.

@blackandyellow - LOL maybe. But I mean your picture didn't have any context, so it was free to interpretation.

@Django79 - yes lmao but you took that interpretation and treated it as factual. Like how Trump supporters turn fake news around and present it as real.

@OddThoughts - Okay fine maybe I went a little bit crazy on my rant. But let's say the guy was using that picture to critique RT and defend the DCEU RT scores, then my point would be valid.

@Django79 - lol I get it.

...do people still think "Arrow is good again"? I gave it a chance, but it still seems like the same circling the drain as season 4 to me. Just having more sweaty training sessions and salmon ladder jokes doesn't make Oliver less of an idiot. Or the dialogue less relentlessly bland. Or the flashbacks less pointless. Or the new "addiction storyline" less ham-fisted.

...Seriously, did I understand it right that Lance thought he might be getting blackout drunk and then murdering people by throwing ninja stars at their necks with pinpoint accuracy?
