After teasing his involvement with an upcoming DC Studios project last week, we got confirmation yesterday evening that Frank Grillo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) has joined James Gunn's animated Creature Commandos series as Rick Flag Sr.
The rest of the voice cast has now been revealed, and there are some big names involved!
According to Collider, Maria Bakalova (GOTG Vol. 3) will provide the voice of Princess Ilana Rostovic, Indira Varma (Obi-Wan Kenobi) will play The Bride, Zoe Chao (Long Weekend) is on board as Nina Mazursky, with Alan Tudyk (Doom Patrol) as Dr. Phosphorus, David Harbour (Black Widow) as Eric Frankenstein, Sean Gunn (GOTG Vol. 3) as G.I. Robot, and Steve Agee reprising his Peacemaker role as John Economos.
As expected, Sean Gunn will also voice The Suicide Squad's Weasel (though we're not sure if he can actually speak).
James Gunn has previously confirmed that any voice actor from an animated DCU project would reprise the role in live-action should the opportunity arise, so there's a decent chance we will see at least some of this cast suit-up as their respective characters down the line.
Creature Commandos doesn't have a premiere date, but is expected to debut on the HBO Max streaming service at some point next year.
