Old DAREDEVIL Set Photo Offers A Big Hint At Another Major Netflix Character

We've had hints and nudges from showrunner Steven DeKnight about the Easter eggs in the upcoming Netflix series. Now, with a look at a set photo, a pretty major connection has been revealed between Daredevil and another upcoming Netflix character. Hit the jump to find out who it is!

With the first of Marvel's Netflix series poised to hit our screens next month, anticipation for the show centered around everyone's favourite Man Without Fear is at an all time high! Daredevil will be the first show of five Netflix series that we know of so far, with other additions including AKA Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and finally the Avengers style team-up show, The Defenders. A question that's on everyone's mind is, just how much all of these shows are going to interconnect with one another in the buildup to The Defenders series? We've had hints galore from Daredevil showrunner Steven DeKnight as far as regards Easter eggs and references, but we're yet to really catch any major ones that pertain to the other Netflix shows. Well, with this set photo, taken last year toward the start of shooting for the series, we can see a pretty massive reference to another of the Netflix show's leading characters. And boy, is it a doozie!

You'll notice the name RAND OIL & CHEMICALS on the door of the overturned truck. Anyone familiar with Marvel knows that the Rand Corporation is the company owned by the parents of Daniel Rand, better known as the Immortal Iron Fist. This is the first sign we've gotten that this show will be offering up as many little references and Easter eggs as it possibly can to broaden the stretch of the MCU within the confines of the Netflix shows.

What do you guys make of it? D'you reckon Matt knows it was a Rand Corp truck that caused his accident, and if so, what would that mean for his relationship with Iron Fist in the future? Be sure to let us know in the comments section and a big thanks to CBM user EzioKenway1225 for bringing this to our attention!

It would be cool if the show hints at the Daredevil and Ninja Turtles origin connection.

I reckon Jessica'll show up in this and Matt'll show up in AKA Jessica Jones as well. I reckon moving forward, they'll all be in each other's shows at some point and Iron fist will serve as the Captain America: The First Avenger-esque aspect of it, providing the basis for the formation of The Defenders with some big mystical threat.

Why would they cast this truck as Iron Fist? I get the Iron part, but Iron Fist's whole thing is he's graceful. This truck seems clumsy.

Can't for this show. I think I might binge watch all 13 hours. Not sure if i'm capable though.

Only another month and few days.

I've been thinking about the whole amateur costume DD has and to me it just makes sense and it really emphasizes that this guys exists in the same world as the Avengers, but he doesn't have Stark designing a paying for him to have a high quality costume. He had to make it himself. And not to mention, he's blind. Because this series will show his first few exploits as a vigilante, it wouldn't make sense for him to have a high quality costume right away. It would be different if he was an established vigilante already and was still wearing the under armor. Plus, it pays homage to Man Without Fear comic series.

I feel like one of themes these shows are going for is "these are not the Avengers B-team". These are street level vigilantes that get their hands dirty in ways the Avengers never would.

And lol at the gravity defying door so you get to see Rands name on the door. I find that quite humorous actually. Can't wait to watch this. Gonna be hard not to watch it all the way through in one sitting.

How come we haven't seen any edits of Cox, Ritter and Coulter photoshopped together? Get on that people. I would totes be doing that if I didn't have a day job.

And I quite enjoyed the Affleck Daredevil film. The way certain parts were filmed came straight from the pages. And his walking stick, Bo staff, Nunchuckas, Grappling Hook combo was cool. Hopefully we see Matt upgrade to something like that at one point. There's no way the wooden sticks will stick around for long.

I'd be ok if they adapted Rand's origin to fit the MCU, but they HAVE to make his fist light up.

Umm...the editors and admins delete articles. Not the users like NovaCorpsFan...he is just writing articles like you are. Odds are, his article was written better or was timestamped before yours.

@EzioKenway1225, you're on fire today man. Scott Lang as a defender is the best idea I've heard in a while. I feel like Lang as person fits in better with that lot than he does the Avengers.
