Hello everyone, this is one of the most fun articles I have ever done recently. With only a week since its release Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 has become a huge success with a great game play, great scores by many great and respectable reviewers. Now we only have 2 known DLC characters announced, Jill Valentine and Shuma Gorath. So far no other characters have been announced but thats not going to stop from people coming up with rosters they would like to see as fellow DLC characters. I'm sure many have debated and argued over who should be in it. Well I'm going to do the same; I'm going to do a list of both Marvel and Capcom characters, 10 from each, I would like to see placed in as future DLC. I will also add in with pictures of each character from said side along with a few reasons why…..Alright with that said, let me begin with Marvel.
Marvel
#10. Wonder Man- For those who don’t know, Wonder Man aka Simon Williams was a Business man turned into a being of pure Ionic Energy, the same energy MODOK uses. I could see him as a fast fighter along with a good amount of Projectile moves.
#9. Ultron- The most villainous robot in the Marvel Universe and the Avengers greatest foe, Ultron is a being who only knows one thing “destruction”. As a fighter, Ultron would be a faster version of Sentinel along with some more destructive abilities.
#8. Ronin (Clint Barton)- Now he is a more recent character during the events of Civil War and the Dark Reign, Ronin was a new persona Clint Barton aka Hawk-eye, took upon himself, technically making him the second person to don the name. As a fighter, his skills would be based off martial arts and gymnastic plus a few of his cool weapons.
#7. Scorpion (Mac Gargan)- Now here is a character that totally deserves a chance to fight it out with many great characters. Scorpion was created by Jameson to contend with Spider-man; however Mac Gargan took it upon himself to get revenge on Jameson since the suit bonded to his body. Obviously with his scorpion suit, he would be great with range and heavy hitting, making him more of the slower fighters.
#6. Dr. Strange- Again, why hasn't he made an appearance in this series? Dr. Strange is the sorcerer supreme and member of the Illuminati. As a fighter he would be full of great spells and abilities that can deal out quick damage. Hey is Dormammu is in this game, Dr. Strange can't be far behind.
#5. Green Goblin (Norman Osborn)- one of Marvels greatest foes and Spider-mans equivalent to Lex Luthor, Norman Osborn is a deranged and powerful man who wears the goblin outfit and tosses pumpkin bombs. Obviously he would be a crazy fighter, using his glider and pumpkin bombs for quick attacks and keep his enemies at bay.
#4. Ultimate Captain Marvel- Now I do not preferably like the Ultimate universe, but seeing him in the episode of Earths Mightiest Heroes, This version of Captain Marvel would be a very unique fighter. Known as Mahr-Vehl, he is a Kree warrior from a blessed family. He wields a very powerful armor that can take shape into a variety of weapons. So his fighting style would be similar to Iron Man mixed with Taskmaster.
#3. Kang the Conqueror- Now here is one out of left field, since the characters resurgence in Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes and as a pivotal character in the first arc of the re-launch of Avengers the comic, Kang is actually a future descendant of Dr. Doom and a time traveler. As a fighter he could utilize many of his combative prowess and advance weaponry.
#2. Loki- Ah here is a fun addition, since the movie is coming out soon, this would be a great addition. Loki is the Half-brother of Thor, and is the Norse god of Mischief. We have a stage that is Asgard and only Thor as a playable character, but having his half-brother in the game would be great. Since Thor is a heavy fighter, Loki would most likely be a faster fighter along with some of his magical abilities to aid him in combat.
#1. Iron Fist- While he was seen in the ending of Ryu in MVC3, Iron Fist is probably the best combat artist in the Marvel Universe. He wields the ability of harnessing his chi and makes it into a very powerful weapon. More or less, he could very much the Marvel sides Ryu.
Thats all for Marvel, this was a rough list to pick from since there are SO MANY great and iconic characters to add in, with that now lets move on to an even harder list, Capcom.
Capcom
#10. Gene from God Hand- the fact that this character is not in the game is a total sin to fighting games. Gene is a powerful artifact called the God Hand, which power amplifies his fighting abilities 10 fold. He can punch and kick people so hard they go flying miles into the sky. He would be a very crazy fighter full of amazing combos and specials, too many to count but the best of the game should be in there.
#9. Batsu from Rival School- Now this character did appear in Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom and was a very balanced fighter. I don’t know much about the Rival School games but I did hear they have a great fan base. Just keep him much like he was in TVC and it will be good
#8. Tenkai from Onimusha 4- Spoiler alert Tenkai is actually Samanosuke from the first and third Onimusha games. I chose this version over his prior one is simple, his fighting style would be much like Dante’s and we don’t need two cheap fighters. As Tenkai, he could pull off some fast combos and kicks including some attacks with his staff.
#7. Megaman Exe from Megaman Battle Network- Now this character has made an appearance in the Onimusha fighting game but has never been used in any other since. This character has a great variety of weapons including a giant fist, a sword, cannon, small bombs, and a pickax that shoots an energy wave. We have two characters already from the Megaman games, one from X and one from Legends, now lets add a third.
#6. Phoenix Wright- Well this is a character that was close to being put in the game but was cut. I think all of us would love of us to see him shout OBJECTION and it slamming into the enemy.
#5. Frank West from Dead Rising- Now he too was close to being in but apparently he was too overpowered for the game. So hopefully they manage to balance him out later and then place him in the game, he was awesome in TVC and a must for this game.
#4. Duo from Megaman- Now I would like to see this character because he is actually a character I liked. Duo is from Megaman 8, he is a big robot who wields an energy that can turn him into a comet and barrel into his enemies with great force. This addition would round out the 4 megaman universes.
#3. Edward Falcon from Power Stone- This is a character that hasn't seen the spotlight in some time. Edward Falcon is one of the main characters of the Power Stone series, which had a big fan following back in the day. I haven't played the game but I have seen this game played before.
#2. The Smiths from Killer 7- Now here is a challenge I would love to see the game developers give a try. The Smiths are 7 unique assassins, each wielding a special way of killing people. The game was a flop but landed a huge cult following, I’m a member of it. Now the challenge I would like to see Capcom pull off is to use all 7 as a single character. Have the main set be Garcian Smith and have the others be used as various attacks and combos. Imagine seeing or using a character that constantly switches from one person to another.
#1. Strider Hiryu- Man and I mean MAN this was a crazy insult to the MVC games. Strider was one of the best characters and a real fun play. Strider is a ninja who has an energy sword and a robot wolf and hawk….HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE THOSE IN 3!!!! He is a MUST for DLC, if he is not, then this development team need their heads fixed.
And that's my listing for Capcom, I’m sure I left out many great characters but I chose ones that I knew better than the others. I left out Street Fighter because we have enough already with them.
I hope you all enjoy my list, love to hear some feedback on what you all think. Catch you all later, ComicCritic87 OUT!!!!
