The new Tomb Raider video game is developed by Crystal Dynamic and published by Square Enix; it will be released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Mac OS X in the first quarter of 2013.

the story looks like what your typical euro-horror movie would be like if it were actually good. that being said, this doesn't seem like the lara croft bad-assery that Tomb Raider games should have. way too damsel-in-distressy for my taste

looks much better and much more well written then the old standard, huge boobs and guns routine, the voice actress was a god awful choice though, you can tell she doesn't actually have a british accent, its so forced and too dainty sounding.

Never was impressed with the original games so Im in same boat as @supernaturalfreak I'm looking forward to this.

Oh My God!! This trailer...so EPIC! She seems so different than the original Lara and this got more emotions and a really good story. We got too many cool guys in videogames this year such as Sheperd (not the female one), Kratos, Max Payne, Leon S Kennedy, Alex Mercer, Connor and so on... Finally a really good female protagonist who will kick some asses. Yaay!!!

The bad thing is that it will be released next year :,(

They're really hammering home the whole "A survivor is born" bit in the trailer, aren't they? You can crash her plane, burn her, drop her from various heights, use bear traps against her, rape her - but you damn well won't break her spirit. TOMB RAIDER .

That said, the game looks like a long needed return to form (or update of same). Don't like the voice actress. And the fact that her dad seemingly doesn't know how to pronounce her first name.

Oh but that's the beauty of it @soforizo. The transformation by necessity makes the character infinitely more interesting. I never really got into the Tomb Raider games, but this one looks incredible. Definitely gonna check it out.

This does look fantastic though, first day buy indeed, i'm playing through 'I am Alive' at the minute, and this has kind of shit all of over that.

WOW! That new trailer blow me away. I cant wait for 2013, which is so damn far away.

I have pretty much played all of the Tomb Raider games(huge TR fan), and this one is so much different then what has come before it.

This even looks it has the potential to be the best Tomb Raider game yet. And I like that they removed the supernatural enemies(originally planned) and put in mortal, human bad guys.

@JillValenfield Yah, that does suck it was pushed back to 2013. This is definitely a whole new Lara Croft. This reboot was necessary; the series was starting to become old and needed an update.

I'm going to miss exploring Croft Manor though(hopefully in the sequel). Lol, that's like my dream home: ATV track, hedge maze, indoor aquarium, shooting range(don't like guns, but still), indoor pool/gymnasium with a rock climbing wall.

Looks good, I like the survival element! All I think of with TR though is remembering the first game and being stuck on that damn level where they take your guns away from you for the first time!

This was an awesome trailer, I never played the originals, they honestly looked lame to me. Definitely looking forward to this one, might even get the girlfriend to play it.
