Did we all miss this? X-Men 3 Sets Up X4

Apparently five minutes into the credits, Professor X returns.

Over the past few months, I've heard plenty of discussion on why there could not be an X-Men 4. One of those main reasons being that Xavier is dead. Apparently, after the credits, a bearded man with no consciousness that was used as a lesson earlier in the film by Professor X gains consciousness and says, "Hello, Moira" and she then turns and ask, "Charles?". Apparently the guy is Charles' brother who was born brain dead. Charles takes over his body after his is ripped to shreds.

Once again, I'm not sure if anyone else discovered this on this site, as it has not been mentioned to my knowledge so if this is old news I appologize.

CBM: Here is the clip you're talking about..

i only myself discovered this a few weeks ago when i saw X-Men 3 on DVD for something like £3.

they may have set up a return of Prof. X but in my opinion screwed too much else up for X-Men to return without a reboot.

Yea Old news, In the begining of the movie, he lectures to some students about the use of their powers and morality. Would it be moral to transfer the mind of a terminally ill person into the body of a brain dead individual? He then goes to a webcam and introduces that Dr. Moira, who has a brain dead patient. So, at the end of the movie, it suggests that he used his power to transfer his mind before he was torn to pieces...but that doesnt mean he will have his powers, since being a mutant is a genetic condition and his original body was destroyed.

seems like you're pretty much one of the only people to not know about this. I stay till the end of the credits for all Marvel films now simply because almost all of them have clips at the end.

Yeah, I figured this was something that wouldn't go unnoticed but I joined CBM way after this movie was released. Every time I hear about there being an X4 on here someone always talks about the fact that Xavier is dead. But @071808, if you do own the dvd and listen to the commentary, they do say that it is his twin brother and that they gave him a beard so it wouldn't give away his identity.

Yeah, crazy old news, but yes, in the majority of comic book movies, you stay to the end, usually you get a heads up on this or other comic book movie adaptation sites.

Hey to the poster who talked about that Professor ex would not have his powers do to it being genetics, well just to let you know his power was mental not a physical power. So he could still have his same mental telepathy.

X-Men 3 was not as good as it could have been. Colossus did not battle Juggernaut,the film made no mention of Prof.X being Juggernaut's stepbrother, Cyclops doesn't get to do anything for the third straight time. As a lifelong fan of X-Men comics I wanted to see more consistency in the films. Hollywood man.

@Optimus1983

LMAO. Where do you think his power comes from? The X-Gene causes mutation. The mutation is what gives mutants their powers. No X-Gene no mutation. No mutation, no powers. Therefore Xavier would not have access to his telepathic powers in that body.

i apologize for bringing this up, for it might be long settled, but does magneto in fact move the chess piece in the final scene of X3? (not including the credits scene). to me it always appears it has. was the mutant "cure" disfunctional? will they all get their powers back? and if xavier is "back", it is a chance for an interesting plot.
