if the movie did what first class did and not focus on wolverine for the 8th millionth time i would be excited, but for now they took an interesting cast, and turned the good un[frick]ed up xmen franchise and are gonna make it a wolverine dick sucking fest....yay

Gotta say, I really agree with Josh on this one. This trailer did nothing for me, unlike Captain America's did last week. Maybe it'll be good, but I have no hopes atm.

Yeah, Wolverine's been my favorite character ever, so I never mind when he's the central character. But if someone else doesn't like him or whatever, I feel kind of bad. Just give me Apocalypse and a cowl on Wolvie. Hell, if I got either of those things, I'd stick 50 habanero peppers straight up my ass.

@jollem
fun fact: wolverine has been a prominent figure in the x-books and all kinds of x-media for quite some time now #dealwithit

"prominent", not "center point".. the books are about a team, not how an individual functions within a team..

Everyone knows that the X-Men are an ensemble property. They are not Wolverine and friends. Wolvy stands out in the comics as a key contributor but he isn't the end all of the group like in the movies.

I guess I've always seen Fox's X-flicks (even the awful ones) as striving for a more adult vibe that Marvel's output.

— Mark Cassidy (@RorMachine) October 29, 2013

and yet somehow, they make their movies look and feel more cartoonish..

i honestly felt the trailer looked and felt fan-made.. the bad kind of fan-made, amateurish.. though in fairness, these are from early footage with incomplete FX so im still holding out hope.. but i've got to lower my expectations after seeing this.. sorry..

i admit marvel toed that line pretty close in phase one.. but avengers was by far a more ensemble film than any of the past x-men films.. first class was the one only one that came close..

Didn't some of these people say Man of Steel was amazing? They have no idea about what makes a good film.

I'm def more pumped for cap 2 because everything looks awesome and stuff I really wanted to see in first that I didn't get to see looks like is going to be in this one. The trailer for xmen I think is great, but..... I thought that about other movies and the trailer was better than movie. Bryan singer will never live superman returns down , and only thing that bothers me about trailer, it's the same music for comic con trailer for man of steel! Please bring xmen to greatness with this one, but it's hard to be positive when let down with origins, xmen 3, the wolverine, first xmen. Only ones I like a lot were x2 and first class. Maybe this will have all elements from both and be great!

Wolverine sells tickets. There's nothing we can do about it. It's like the Borg in Star Trek. They get big ratings, and like money, ratings keep your projects going.

@RamonSuarez My sentiments exactly!A picture is worth a thousand words. Each of those costumes feels like cosplay. Bishop, in particular, makes me a little sad.

@CoulsonLives: wolverine wasn't the main focus. He died not long after we were introduced to his future self. Your argument otherwise makes sense.

Top 5 reasons this movie is going to suck:

FOX
Bryan Singer
No Cyclops
Previous installments sucked
Completely centered on Wolverine

That's just the top 5.

I will go see this as I have all X-films, but this trailer was a muddled mess. It gave me an adult Halloween costume party "vibe" Ror.

I'll wait for the next trailer to be more excited.kind of on the fence since I'm getting serious x men last stand vibes on this one.but first class was surprisingly great so hopefully they did their home work.now that Captain America trailer, that got me seriously pumped for something that I was "meh" about.get yo shiz together fox!!before Sony comes for that ass

Cap trailer was cool but this established the tone and plot with out going full explosion mode it was a teaser! dofp trailer>

The thing that disappoints me in the trailer is that all they had to do in the last few seconds in this; Wolverine puts on his cowl and growls. Then, as a ode to the only cool part in X3, Colossus throws Wolverine at a Sentinel only to have the Sentinel actually defeat Wolverine. That right there would have put jaws to the ground. And it's not like that's rocket science, man. Yeah, the visual effects weren't done, I understand. But what worries me is Fox rushes their movies. That I've come to terms with. But rushing their trailers? Wtf?

I really liked the trailer,it got my emotions stirring which was good,I do hope the film is as good as First Class.I understand that the franchise has turned into the Wolverine show and the continuity is messed up.Knowing this I still have this urge to see the film,if its as good as Singer's last X-men film X2 it qualifies to be a must see by default,in time they need to reboot the whole universe and not just focus on Logan and portray the universe in a more balanced light with the leader of the Xmen Cyclops getting more screen time, the very thought however of X2 meshed with First Class has me highly intrigued and therefore a must see.

@Luminus Well you see, their goal is to ruin the anticipation of the people excited for this movie, so they have to troll here. Lol.
