HARRY POTTER Star Daniel Radcliffe Responds To Those Laughable WOLVERINE "Rumors"

Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe recently joked that he'd been cast as The MCU's new Wolverine during an interview with Wired, so, of course, the usual suspects tried to spin that into a "rumor"...

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe's response to an autocomplete query during a recent interview with Wired led to the usual sites attempting to spin a "rumor" that he might be in line to play Wolverine out of thin air.

This was nonsense (obviously), but the jovial actor has now responded to the online scuttlebutt in typically good-natured fashion.

"This is what happens when you make jokes," Radcliffe told IGN while promoting his new TBS comedy series Miracle Workers. "Wouldn’t it be great if you could just start casting yourself in things by just saying them in interviews? So I guess people have been asking something about me and Wolverine, and I made a joke about [playing] Wolverine after being in a hot wash, like I’d been shrunk in a hot wash, and the internet seems to think that I was putting that out there on my dream board cosmic ordering system."

While there is a chance that Marvel higher-ups have begun to think about who they might want to replace Hugh Jackaman with as Logan in the MCU, it'll probably be a long time before there's any steps taken to actually cast the role. When that does happen, would you like to see Radcliffe's name on the shortlist?

To get some idea of how he could look sporting the claws and signature muttonchops, Boss Logic has put together the following bit of fan-art - although we think he actually looks more like Robert Pattinson here. Hey, maybe Pattinson could play Wolverine, and Radcliffe could play Batman?
