X-Men: First Class Begins Filming in London This September

Casting is apparently in full swing for the X-franchise prequel, both in the US and in the UK where filming will take place.

FeatureFilmCasting.com is reporting that the next installment of Fox's X-Men franchise will begin filming this September in London. This will allow the studio only eight months to both film and complete all the post production CG work if they are to meet their established theatrical release date of June 3rd, 2011.

So far, the film only has one actor cast; James McAvoy, who will portray a young Professor Charles Xavier. KICK-ASS director Matthew Vaughn is set to direct the prequel, with Brian Singer and Lauren Shuler Donner as producers.

Auditions are currently underway in Los Angeles, CA, for both major and minor roles in X-Men: First Class; with some casting expected to take place in the UK. If you're interested in auditioning for the film, you can contact the Principle Casting Directors:
