Director Matthew Vaughn is getting things set for behind the scenes on the X-Men prequel.

Crew announcements are being made for our next installment of mutants. Vaughn has handpicked three new members for his team. So, let's take a look at them including their prior movies:

Composer: Ilan Eshkeri - Kick-Ass, Ninja Assassin and Stardust, where he won Best New Composer from the International Film Music Critics Association

At this point, Eshkeri is in "final talks" to compose but has a history with Vaughn dating back to Layer Cake

Concept Artist: Matthew Savage - Prince of Persia, Kick-Ass, The Wolfman, The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Torchwood and Doctor Who.

Pre-Visualization Supervisor: Rpin Suwannath - The first two X-Men, Superman Returns, Serenity and all of The Chronicles of Narnia movies.

All in all, lots of prior superhero experience for a nice solid foundation in production.

Grif-You are probably right but since we don't know who is going to be in this one, all we have are comics inspired illustrations. One thing is for sure with Fox, continuity is not a priority!

You're just always a big ray of sunshine, aren't ya!!

They can get the best crew in the world but I have a good feeling that this movie will still suck. I mean, it's Fox we're talking about here! ;(

I really hope that Vaughn manages to make it good though...so help me God, if we lose the original five and get the X-Men Origins: Wolverine American Emma Frost I might just walk out of the cinema. We have few enough superheroes as it is, lol, without taking her as well!

Nice find though DOGS!

I just hope they don't cast a Twilight actor.

Ben Whishaw for Magneto! Yes, I love that guy and I think he'd have great chemistry with McAvoy.

And yes, nice crew. I feel like they're rushing this movie but I also trust Matthew Vaughn so let's hope it turns out just fine.

@Starsapphire- Robert Pattinson for Magneto!!! Bwahahaha!!! (Not really)

Sounds like a solid crew. This movie is so off my radar.

As long as it's not that piece of trash X3 or the train wreck Wolverine kind of material. The Wolverine movie had so much potential. Hopefully, Vaughn's got the backbone for this. Wow, I hadn't thought of it, but LEE77, Clive Owen would probably rock as younger Erik Lensherr

well this confirms the score will be a piece of crap like the first iron man

I will not go see this at the theaters. I will watch it once out on disc. As long as FOX makes top box office cash on the franchise, they will continue to own the rights. I hope it is decent with Vaughn, but I really hope he is just setting them up to back out later. Delay the process and let Marvel get their rights back.

This is supposed to take place roughly 15 years before the first X-Men movie. So Iceman would be an icefetus. Angel was introduced in X3 so... y'know what? [frick] continuity... Fox don't care 'bout nothin no how.

Well if it can't possibly be Ian Mcclellen(spelling?), then Clive Owen looks like he would be a damn good Magneto.

It's a shame that Marvel studios has to wait until Fox gets tired of molesting the X-Men frnchise before they can take them back to the promise land.

I'm surprised that Vaughn would actually work on one of these sh*tty X-Men films with Fox, after his criticisms of X-3, and the obvious failure that is Wolverine.

josh@ in totally agreement man :0

supermarioworldE@ wasn't Vaughn the original director for x-3? im pretty shocked he would of even considered the role, let alone direct it(knowing how good fox are with cbm material and non interference lol) :p

well this is interesting....heres a great plan to get it back to marvel/Disney....have Disney secretly pay Vaughn double his payroll to purposely halt this films production so they would be forced to hand over the license....let them milk Avatar for all its got. then he and the crew and head over to Disney and get real recognition. its brilliant. BWAHAHAHAHA

@ukboy

After Kick-Ass, where he had complete creative freedom, you'd think that he'd avoid the studio that'll probably make him direct absolute drivel.

But you know what they say, MONEY TALKS.

@BlackAirs

If only.

Sounds like they got a good team working on this but c'mon, FOX still makes the decisions at the end of the day. They rush these X-Men films w/ a jammed packed cast but this time it's worst. Filming begins in September & they only got Professor Charles Xavier cast for a June release? The fans & I mean, the REAL fans, are gonna get yet another crappy, dumbed-down movie that should come w/ a "Vaguely & loosely inspired by the actual comics to the point where it's no longer recognizable" warning label. Darn you MARVEL for selling the rights! DARN YOU!!!

If they're going to have Iceman, please just make him look like normal....not no spikey haired/x-men bandana'd loser.

Marvel/Disney need to buy back the rights to the X-Men franchise...it's a goldmine waiting to blow up (if done right)!

JOSH @ Me too, h8 dat bich in Borigins lol, white queen my a$$! : P

SHHH @ Well original 5, well 6 with PROF X!

And what we get, well.... it better be that or i ain't even gonna watch it if they take ANGEL an ICEMAN out and keep [frick]ing STORM in 90210 style! : D

Canadianturd @ Your right, FOX wont give a crap about messing up their continuity! : P

I've got a feeling VAUGHN will so want the original X-men anyways!

kikaider85 @ Reboot all tha way dude!!!!

Without Wolverine, it probably won't do that great.

@LEEE777 - Ditto.

PLEASE drop the continuity and use the original team! If Storm and Wolverine are in this movie I am going to be so freaking frustrated. Over use of Wolverine does not a good story make.
