Update! Armie Hammer was on Jay Leno's talk show last night and he brought along with him the first trailer for Gore Verbinski's The Lone Ranger. Shockingly, it features Johnny Depp wearing a gawdy amount of white makeup, and talking in a funny voice.

The Lone Ranger will be released in theaters July 3, 2013. The film is being directed by Gore Verbinski and stars Armie Hammer as The Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp as Tonto. Also starring in the movie: Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper and Timothy Hutton.

You guys who cant see it, aren't missing out. That was pretty boring, it seems to be missing the fun and action included in most Disney films. Not impressed at all.

What is up with the music, I have seen this kind of actiony machinery music a lot lately in trailers. They should have had something a little more western. It ruins the trailers imo.

Next to nothing at all about that trailer even hints at what's fun about the classic Lone Ranger. He was supposed to be as close as you get to a basic superhero for the wild west.

I dislike it. It seems to be trying to be too Bad-Ass, like Dredd. I expected far less slow-mo and that music feels out of place.

Johnny Depp has Cherokee ancestry. He is member and adoptive son of Comanche Nation president. As we know , there is no 100% native Indian who very popular n top box office actor . Well... Depp as Tonto is make sense..

I hope this movie would be good as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.. or at least fun as Butch Cassidy n The Sundance Kid.

Depp looks like one goofy son bitch. I wanna like it, but Depp is just gonna end up taking me out of the movie every time he shows up on screen and ruin it. Looks mediocre as hell all around

I know Johnny Depp is the bigger star, but if you're going to make a Lone Ranger movie, the actor playing The Lone Ranger should have top billing. Any actor playing the title character should have top billing, no matter how famous his co-stars are.

What the hell is that annoying ass video clip link. you cant pause the commercial can only reload or close the screen to get the it to stop. Be nice if people posted these things with less annoying clips.

Dunno hard to tell anything from this clip though. I just hope they don't turn it into Tonto the movie

As much as I've grown to despise Johnny Depp films, less than a scrotum growth...

This movie will triple it's budget on nostalgia, and clueless Depp fans

Even though I smell a mix of Jonah Hes and Wild Wild West.

Action seems ok and dialog and performances but the damn bird and facepaint annoys me. Im not too excited about Lone Ranger´s outfit either.

Should have take inspiration from Dynamite Entertainment´s comics.

Looks great visually..not a fan of the music, and Depp sounds..well kinda like I expected him to. Like Tea, haven't seen anything that makes me think it will be shit..yet.

Honestly it was to short for me to tell weather it was good or not. Just depends. Depp's voice for Tonto sounded pretty good though. Although it's sad Hammer didn't speak once in the trailer and he should be the main character. Although from the trailer it didn't seem to me that either were the main character, it's more like they both equally important. That I think would be good.
