ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: Ghost Concept Art Reveals Scary Alternate Designs, New Abilities, & More - Part 2
In this awesome new batch of Ant-Man and The Wasp concept art, we get to see startlingly different takes on Ghost which will give you nightmares! There are also shots of Ava out of her containment suit!
Ant-Man and The Wasp may not have stakes as high as Avengers: Infinity War but the sequel is still a lot of fun and it does a surprising amount to move the Marvel Cinematic Universe forward by introducing new characters, developing existing ones, and exploring the mysterious Quantum Realm.
Now, with the movie in theaters, we're taking a look at some concept art for the movie and this new batch once again puts the spotlight on Ghost, the villain played by British actress Hannah John-Kamen.
We've already taken a look at a number of comic accurate alternate designs for Ghost (which you can check out by clicking here) but these are a little more...spooky! She looks seriously frightening here in these pieces and we also get a look at some unused ideas for a costume she could have worn to blend into society. So, to check all of these out, all you guys have to do is click on the "View List" button.
This is a very cool alternate design and it would have been a stylish look for Ghost to have on screen as it pays homage to her comic book appearance while also reimagining the villain for live-action.
Well, this is pretty terrifying, right? Ghost has a much more nightmarish appearance here and her powers are portrayed in a slightly different way as well because they have a purple hue to them.
These awesome pieces of concept art show a slightly different take on Ghost's powers as she can be seen giving off a whole lot more energy than what we saw Ava unleash in Ant-Man and The Wasp.
I'm not sure what those links between Ava's back and arms are supposed to be but they don't look particularly functional. On the other hand, they definitely look pretty cool for the most part.
Here, we get a very interesting look at the functionality of Ghost's hood and the fact it essentially disappears when he pulls it back to reveal her face. It's a nice touch and one which works well.
In these shots, we get to see Ghost outside of her costume and it's interesting to see that even without her armour, she still needed to wear this in order to keep her Quantum Realm powers in check.
This is a seriously cool take on Ghost but also pretty scary as that mask definitely makes her look a little more like a ghoul you'd see in a horror movie. Perhaps that was just too much for Marvel?
We didn't get to see much of Ghost in her day to day life but these pieces of concept show the villain having to disguise herself in regular clothing while still finding a way to control her powers.
And here is Ghost in all her glory! It's definitely a pretty cool look for the villain and while some of these alternate designs are a little better, Marvel definitely did a good job bringing her to life.
