RESULTS: Who Would You Like To See Play Aquaman/Wonder Woman?

Last week, I presented my top five choices for both Aquaman and Wonder Woman in the planned Justice League movie. As always, you were extremely vocal and over 7,000 of you voted in total. Find out the results in full here (they may just surprise you!).

Unfortunately, I didn't have time to post my top five choices for The Flash, but the response to the casting suggestions for Aquaman and Wonder Woman were extremely enthusiastic nonetheless! As you can see, the results for Aquaman were all very, very close. However, it was Josh Holloway (Lost) who just came out on top with less than 100 votes separating him and Sam Worthington (Avatar). As for Wonder Woman, there were two clear favourites, although it's sure to come as a surprise to some to see Gemma Arterton (Prince of Persia) beat Gina Carano (Haywire). Some of you liked the choices presented, while many of you had your own great casting suggestions. Here are the full results from the two polls included in each of the respective features. Check them out below, and be sure to sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!

Sorry, it should be Gina Carano or Brigette Regan for WW. Holloway would be ok as Aquaman.

Gemma...???!!! naaaahhh...she's hot and all, but too pale white and sad looking. WW needs to be tanned (not really a problem, i would guess) and a bit on the bright side.

Hopefully WB has better options than we did when it comes to casting these charactors, lol.

@Godzillafart - Yeah, of all the charactors, Aquaman is the one I am least excited to see on the big or small screen. DC has so many better charactors than Orin or Arthur or whoever is Aquaman this decade. We can blame Entourage for this.

Sam Worthington got the second most votes? smh....

That picture. I can't help but visualize Owen Wilson's face over Josh Holloway's in the pic above. Owen Wilson as Aquaman! :D Kidding, but Jack Black was going to be GL at one point sooo.., Stiller as Superman, Vaughn as Batman & Jonah Hill as the Flash? Thankfully this is never happening.

Liam Hemsworth for Aquaman or Channing Tatum. Ryan Gosling for Batman

Gina Carano, Gemma Arterton, Olivia Wilde or Jaimie Alexander for Wonder Woman. Alexander Skarsgard, Ryan Gosling or Josh Holloway for Aquaman.

@Godzillafart - Tanit Phoenix would actually be a decent fit. Gina Carano can at least do really decent fight scenes.

Wow, who - like - cares?
These are two of THE lamest characters in comic books - and i don't care if Wonder woman is listed at number 5 by IGN in the top 100 best comic book characters ever!! Its surely no coincidence that Wonder woman has only merited a truly awful (yeah and I liked Lynda Carter as much as the next bloke!) TV series, she's a highly unlikely character for the big screen!!
So is Aquaman, a truly awful product from DC who to my way of thinking is like a poor-mans Sub Mariner.
I really think that Justice League could end up as laughable as Green Lantern. Stick to Supes and Batman DC as quite honestly these characters don't mesh well - It will take a brave or foolhardy director to put his name down on this one, mark my words

Bridget Regan for Wonder Woman. There's very little appeal for Aquaman, but if James Cameron came and said he wanted to do it, everyone would be excited, it's all about script, story, and the right actor for that story. Jim is great with that.

I'm no troll but I can't think of a worse JLA character than Aquaman.

@Godzillafart I agree to an extent. I think DC needs to forget doing Justice League. Marvel beat them to it..and imo, did it flawlessly. So kudos to them.

DC should focus on something smaller. Like a Batman/Superman (or vise versa to you diehards). That would be a better movie for the time being. Having your two heavy hitters in one flick. And if Batman and Superman sharing the screen works...you work that into Justice League.
