In the latest issue of
Cleveland Magazine, focused on Northeastern Ohio, where partial filming for Marvel's highly-anticipated film
The Avengers is taking place, comic writer Brian Michael Bendis briefly praises the Joss Whedon-written screenplay. And also sharing vague thoughts on
Captain America: The First Avenger, read the interview excerpt below.
What can you tell us about The Avengers?
"Yeah, I'm a consultant on it. Best job ever, maybe? I'm very excited it's hapening there [Cleveland], man. It's an amazing screenplay. And I don't hype frivolously. I think it's the best thing Joss Whedon's ever written. I was in awe of it, and I still am.
What can you say about Captain America: The First Avenger?
"I've seen it, and it was great. Red Skull, played by Hugo Weaving, is a really good villain, probably the best from Marvel [Studios]."'
