Chris Hemsworth On The Avengers Ego Differences!

Chris Hemsworth talks a little about the big ego's in The Avengers!

On whether or not he has talked with Whedon about The Avengers...

"I have, yeah. I worked on '[The] Cabin in the Woods' with Joss. So I knew him from back then, and then had a chat to him about a month ago about 'The Avengers' and what he plans on doing, and it is incredibly impressive, you know, and exciting."

On the subject of the conflicting ego's and Thor being pushed around...

"I don't think he likes to be, I don't think any of them do. I think that's what's so interesting."

Hawksblueyes: Part of what made Avengers books so cool to me is the fact that they were beating the Hell out of each other half of the time. It looks like this may continue in the film.

Great article HAWKS! :) I really can't wait to see how a guy who's just stepped out of the 1940' s, an Asgardian God and someone like Tony Stark will all interact with each other! Whedon is the perfect choice of writer/director to do that as his work on Firefly and Astonishing X-Men proved! I really hope that Hawkeye and Black Widow get some great screen time as well...if we're not getting any Hank or Jan, we'll need those two to make it more than just a three person team!

tea: I believe that badassery is the exact opposite of suckageness.

I'll use it in a sentence.

We all gazed unbelievably at the hot the pink Corvette just sitting there in all it's suckageness!

Hawksblueyes, what comic is that from?
Hawksblueyes
Hawksblueyes - 7/26/2010, 10:55 AM
ToMMaN: I think it was issue 3 of the new THOR run. It is an incredible book, Thor beats Iron Man down about as easily as swatting a fly.

They should incorporate that scene in Avengers. Just show how massive Thor is against his peers.

UnfriendlySpidey
UnfriendlySpidey - 7/26/2010, 1:19 PM
@Hawks THAT. IS. EPIC!! I want to see some friction between the team like that like in the comics in the movie: Like Thor showing them he IS a god of thunder after all and they shouldn't [frick] around with him. And Tony & Steve butting heads on leadership in the beginning would be a really cool aspect to see. At one point I just want to see them all go it just for S's & G's :D
skullboy
skullboy - 7/26/2010, 2:01 PM
They just better be prepared for ScarJo acting like a diva on and off the set. Oooohhhh the horror!!!
Sturmpionier
Sturmpionier - 7/26/2010, 2:06 PM
Straczynski's run on Thor is my 3rd or maybe even 2nd favorite. I hope Thor's ego checks in as well in the Avengers. Other than the Hulk, Thor really can crush the others easily. In a lot of ways, that's Thor's struggle with being an Avenger, having to hold back and be on a team with mortals. And, of course, Captain America eventually winning his lasting respect.

Goin way back, Cap and Hawkeye always had beefs because Hawkeye was a pain-in-the-ass type dude!
