Talking to The Flickcast at Comic Con last week, here's what the actor had to say about his work on the upcoming video game sequel as well as his interest in voicing the character in the rumored animated adaptation of classic story, The Killing Joke.

To me, Mark Hamill will always be the definitive Joker.

Exciting, but I actually liked DiMaggio's Joker more.

I thought he said Arkham City was the last time he would voice the Joker?

He should keep doing the Joker though, he's amazing at it.

Hamill's Joker is overrated... I really want to see this adaptation but I'd prefer someone else. I never hear Hamill's Joker whenever I read TKJ.

Although I have no idea why I'd find this exciting, I didn't find The Killing Joke to be all that good.

Didn't this guy say like last year that Batman: Arkham City would be his last Joker gig?

Yeah, I also was never a huge fan of Hamill's Joker, I find him a bit annoying at times.

Whenever I read a Batman comic, I always keep Kevin Conroy's Batman and Mark Hamills Joker in mind.

Great math dude. 2011-1992 equals, uh, let's see here, ummmmm, almost 30. Yeah, good job. 20 years, which is still plenty epic.

He will always be the joker to me. It's a shame Hamill's and Harrison Ford's career went in two different directions...

@yossarian It seems everyone here think the amount of years between 1992-2011 = 30...... did Mark Hamill noticed that? and he is been polite?... will never know ;)

1992 - 2011 = 19 almost 20 not 30..... he was probably nervous..is Luke Skywalker you're talking right?

Kevin Conroy is the voice I hear when I read the Batman in Batman comics. Mark Hamill is the voice I hear when I read the Joker in Batman comics. It doesn't preclude me from loving other versions. I love Nicholson's Joker. I love Ledger's Joker. But Hamill's voice is the best, in my opinion.

And Dimaggio fans... I'm sorry, but he sounded like Bender to me and that's his definitive character.

I do want to hear hamill's joker in a much more sadistic and homicidal way. when I read joker, I hear hamill's voice, but it is always the lower pitch voice he does and not the high pitch part.

I love how he is concern about Alan Moore's reaction...but Moore really liked Bruce Timm's adaptation of "For The Man Who Has Everything" in Justice League Unlimited, and that was not word by word...and I read Timm will be involved with a Killing Joke adaptation. That would be REALLY good,it is such a beautiful and disturbing story,Timm is the right guy to adapt it,and Hammill is the guy for the Joker! Just search in youtube, you can listen to him reading Joker bits of the Killing Joke,it is AWESOME

Cable23- awesome. I do the same thing with their voices too. I did like the Dimaggio's in the Red Hood though but Hamills is the best. Especially that manic laugh

obviously the interviewer can't count, 1992 was 19 years ago, not nearly 30 years ago. perhaps he was nervous, i mean Hamill is a living legend who has portrayed 2 iconic characters (Luke Skywalker and Joker)
skidz
skidz - 8/2/2011, 1:13 PM
There could be a way around annoying him, though. Do a mash up like Batman Begins. i.e. Year one + Jeph Loeb's work.

Mark Hamill really is the greatest voice actor of all time. His voice is the most iconic voice in all of cartoons even non Batman fans could distinguish his voice as the Joker. I would absolutely love him to play the Joker in Killing Joke which is one of my favorite books ever. If you have Hamill you have to have Conroy as well those two go hand in hand.

[frick] Alan Moore. The man is great writer but is also a major tool and a class A asshole. Dont worry about waht he says he says or thinks Mark. Even if you do it on as recoreded voice only story, Moore will still bitch about and never listen to it.

Hands down, Hamill is my favorite Joker, even above Heath Ledger's interpretation. He can go from menacing to sickly sweet effortlessly - and his vocal work in Mask of Phantasm and Arkham Asylum are masterclasses.
