Zack Snyder Reveals Which Two Iconic 'Batman' Villains Were Cut From BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE
While scenes featuring these two were never actually shot, Zack Snyder has revealed which members of The Dark Knight's rogues gallery very nearly made it into Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice...
As of right now, the only confirmed villains in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice are Lex Luthor and Doomsday. While there's always a chance that someone else could come along to surprise us (everyone from Bizarro to Darkseid have been rumoured over the past year or two), it seems unlikely. Well, talking to Collider recently, Zack Snyder revealed that things could have been very different.
"The Joker and The Riddler both came close to being in this movie," the filmmaker confirmed. "We talked about the possibility of putting them in. [Screenwriter] Chris Terrio and I talked about it a lot and felt that their mythological presence is felt in the movie and that’s cool, but I didn’t want to get my eye too far off the ball because I needed to spend the time, frankly, with Batman and Superman to understand the conflict." This seemingly debunks rumours that Jared Leto makes a cameo appearance, though he could always turn up in that R-Rated director's cut. We'll have to wait and see.
