CAPTAIN MARVEL Character Breakdown Could Possibly Hint At The MCU Introduction Of Rick Jones

We recently found out that Jude Law had joined the cast of Captain Marvel as Mar-Vell, and now a new casting call may suggest that his friend Rick Jones will also feature in the upcoming movie.

That Hashtag Show has come across a casting call-sheet which reads; "Supporting Lead Male (35-59) Intelligent, but can throw a punch. Open ethnicity. Sounds like he may be tied to a well-known character." That's clearly not a whole lot to go on, but - provided this does turn out to be an established Marvel Comics character - it could well indicate that Rick Jones is about to join the MCU.

Jones was first introduced as a sidekick to The Hulk, but he has also accompanied Captain America on his adventures, and is arguably best known for sharing a telepathic link with Mar-Vell and switching places with the hero while he was trapped in the Negative Zone by using the Nega-Bands. Jones also played an integral role in the Kree/Skrull War (which we know the movie will touch upon) and was by Mar-Vell's side when he died.

This is purely speculation at this point, but Jones seems like as good a guess as any! Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments below.
