@CubanRaftRider- NOT khan. But thanks for pointing out the most obvious choice- khan. You really think Abrams is THAT predictable that he'll go with Khan? The one villain everyone was already expecting?

Cumberbatch is not Khan. May can't come soon enough to quiet all the khan talk.
In fact going by your logic-

Member of Starfleet gone rogue

=Gary Mitchell

See my point?

JJ Abrams, the man who turned ST into GIJOE. The man who destroyed ST...
No boldly go, no new species, no explorations, no intelligent plot, only EFX and, silly and loud action and mass destruction.
Abrams despises ST. He is absolutly antiRoddenberry...
Right now ST is only an action movie in an endeless army of action movies.ST is not a special thing rigth now. Abrams's ST and GIJOE is the same stuff. Oh, yes, Abrams earns a lot of money with his pseudo ST. No matter. This is a ST without soul. It's ST only in name.

Esto no es Star Trek. Es la destrucción de Star Trek. Esto es antiStar Trek.

@TheRedHood- They said who he is. He's John Harrison ;P

Honestly i'm starting to think John is really his name and he might just be an augment. But i seriously doubt he is Khan himself. Although you never know...

given the info they've released so far on the movie, I would guess he's a member of Section 31, certainly fits the bill( http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Section_31 for those who dont know)

Ahem...this poster looks eerily similar to the Star Trek Nemesis poster, which had this "Darkness" theme going on as well.

I´d rather see Spock´s new astronaut garb.

People need to stop bitching about how this "doesn't look like Star Trek". Is it more of an action movie with a ST skin? Maybe, but at least ST is still on peoples lips. Without these films the franchise would be deader than DeForest Kelley.

Oh, for-- REALLY? They just got Kirk in command at the end of the last movie, and now this one is going to feature him getting kicked out of the captain's chair? What is J.J. Abrams' problem with just letting Kirk be a freaking captain?

Oy. It's not like I'm not going to watch the movie because of it or anything, but it's just a little disappointing. He's Captain James T. Kirk, for God's sake; his rank and his uniform are iconic. Having him run around without it are like having a Superman movie where Supes never puts on the suit.
