Nicolas Cage is one of the greatest actors of the last twenty years. However, it seem that comic book movie fans do not respect his abilities. Why no love?

Nicolas Cage has proved to be one of the greatest actors of his generation. It is unfathomable why comic book movie fans have accepted this fact. Yes, Ghost Rider was not a good movie. But, this certainly was not Cage's fault. He brought a level of intensity and sultriness not found in most CBMs. We all know he is a great comic book fan. It is time that the comic book movie community embraced his skills.

Early word is that the sequel to Ghost Rider will be much improved. I don't doubt it. Let's hope that a successful return of Johnny Blaze will lead to Cage's appearance in more CBMs.

Ive got nothing against CAGE... hes great in FACE OFF, CON AIR and KICK ASS!

I don't mind him in GR too!

GR I was a special effects treat and beat the sh1t outta the last two x-men FOX movies! : p

Fingers crossed GR II is better!

But anyways, Nic Cage is pretty awesome sometimes (like in Knowing and National Treasure), but his Ghost Rider was meh.
I agree that more people should embrace his actor abilities.

I did not have anything against him in Ghost Rider. Sure his Johnny Blaze came off as silly in some parts, but look at the comics. The Rider is the real appeal. Blaze is a hard character to peg though. There's really no right or wrong way to play him. Cage tried his take, and people did not like it. I think though with new directors and a different tone, his take on Blaze will be far better in the new film.

I lik Nicolas Cage he is a good actor and all but he is one crazy mofo. He was good in Con Air and National Treasure. Ghost Rider was alright.

i think nicholas cage is pure badass tho he plays the same role in every movie except for con air and kick-ass in which he played diff roles everything else the same but i still love him idk y cuz i usually hate ppl who play the same guy in every movie

Really the worst parts of the movie were the villains. They all lasted like 30 seconds a piece in their fight scenes. No real competition for Ghost Rider. Wes Bently sucked really hard as Blackheart too.

I don't mind Nic Cage, I enjoyed the first Ghost Rider (wasnt the best CBM, but better than F4:ROTSS, Ang Lee Hulk and Elektra) and he's great in Kick-Ass.
However, since you began trolling, and after reading this article, I like him slightly less.

ok hate me or not, I asked myself this question for the longest. Why is there no love for Mr. Cage in the Comic book Community. I liked him in Ghost Rider even tho im not that much as a fan and never picked up a solo book of him. I like Nick Cage he is a talented actor. Not best actor but he is a good one

How has Cage proven himself to be one of the greatest actors?! Now I will admit, he's done a few good movies, and he's been good in most of them. But a great actor? No! Look at the roles he's played well and you will find there are simply two characters he has ever played well. Sure, they all have different names, backgrounds and different obstacles to overcome but they are the SAME CHARACTER! If his movie role can be played using one of these two character types then he is good, otherwise he is terrible. There are many actors around like this and some have even won oscars just because the role they were given fits into one of the few character types they can play! That is not the making of a great actor!

Cage was great in "Raising Arizona" and great cheese in "Kick-Ass."
Rent "Con Air" and remind yourself how terrible he is...and that movie.

I agree with this 100%!!! Nic Cage is amazing! I love him in MoonStruck, Kick-Ass, Con Air, National Treasure, and hell even Ghost Rider. So bring on number two!!!
