@ BrotherInBlue there is such a thing as too much CGI man, and this looks like one of those times. But hey we won't know til it comes out.

To all the comic book readers. Do the Guardians of Oa have those plastic bubble thingys around their heads in the books? I never remember seeing them with it, or is it just one particulr guardian?

I showed the Green Lantern #2 trailer and the Captain America trailer to my class room of students (18-28 year range) and they all seemed pretty excited for Green Lantern, even more than Captain America.

I'll see their response on Monday to this trailer and let you guys know their response. These are not by any means comic book fans either, just students.

I also find it funny that there is all this talk about Cap being hyped? Are you serious, that movie isn't anything beyond this website. Sorry, but only thing comes to mind about the Cap movie is underwhelming expectations.

one thing should be kept in mind is that generally when WB is behind a movie 100% they believe in that movie,if not they just minimize losses and let it to rot(eg - Jonah hex)not in this case

after all movies like FF,GI JOE made $150 mil+ so I don't think any movie can be that terrible and still there were people to watch it.even I was one of them so I believe in giving all movies a chance,who knows it could turn out to be entertaining or bad,only time will tell

as for now we only have the trailers to judge on and unless you are hell bent on hating a movie,GL has done superbly awesome in the trailers department. (other than the 1st one trailer)and based on that I will be in line first to watch this awesomeness :)

Looks great. CGI heavy, but seriously who cares... if the story is solid I'll love it.

haha, this is ridiculous. as a life long Marvel & DC fan and a comic professional. I can assure you that you guys really make more out of this than it is. Sure Marvel has come out with more movies. Look back and watch all of them. X2, Spiderman (1), Iron Man, and Thor have been good. Thor the weakest of the winning batch. But, though at the time revolutionary, Xmen is really not that good, X3 blew, Wolverine was god awful, daredevil (underrated) but still not good, elektra, both FF's, Both hulks, Iron Man 2. All kinda crappy. Sure alot of them have cool moments but are generally terribly put together. Marvel definitely got the jump, But DC has made some solid movies (really only just Begins and TDK). Sure there was some crap thrown in there (Superman Returns, Jonah Hex) but there is a new team running the show. Its out there. you can't compare what DC is doing now with what came before, new people are calling the shots, and they are committed to quality entertainment. GL is the first movie under their regime. And I've seen more than most, its going to rock.,Next year you'll see TDKR and again it'll blow everyone's minds. All i can say is that look at the bigger picture, each movie comes out brings exposure to the comics world. a Marvel movie is great for marvel but also good for DC and vice versa. In a couple years (post Harry Potter era) there will be yearly box office battles between WB and Marvel Studios. Driving consumers (all of you and me) to the theater. No body would have though avatar would have wide spread appeal but then it did. It's insane to say more than a month out, that GL is just not appealing to the audience outside of comic book nerds.
