Mark Strong will play Sinestro in Martin Cambpell's Greem Lanter, but he will also be portraying another extra terrestrial in Andrew Stanton's John Carter Of Mars..

"Basically I've been doping this for 25 years, never played an alien, then like buses 2 come along at once!

Like Sinestro, Matai Shang will require heavy prosthetics and also CGI. So how does Strong go about breathing life into them through his performance?..

"Like all characters, you have to draw from within to make them realistic. People have to relate to them. It's all about protecting the universe, but there's also a kind of arrogance about Sinestro."

As we have heard, Sinestro will not play the bad guy in this movie, merely a grumpy bastard! But we know he will eventually be seduced by power and become evil..

"He just cannot believe that human shave a place in the Corps. They are the weak link in the universe. So consequently when the ring passes to Hal Jordon Sinestro cannot deal with it. By the end, Hal earns Sinestro's grudging respect."

Strong also reveals that he wore platform boots when portraying Sinestro as this incarnation of the character will stand at over six foot seven.

Right, here are those pics courtesy of Empire. Try to contain yourselves!
