Despite middling reviews, M. Night Shyamalan's highly-anticipated Glass is gearing up to set the box office on fire next weekend with a $70 million plus opening, which would be one of the strongest January debuts ever and a nice jump start as we gear up for what's widely expected to be one of the biggest box office years ever.

The long-awaited sequel will wrap up the stories of Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson), Kevin Wendell Crumb (James McAvoy), David Dunn (Bruce Willis), and Casey Cooke (Anya Taylor-Joy) as they find themselves on a collision course to change history - and mankind - forever.

M. Night Shyamalan brings together the narratives of two of his standout originals—2000’s Unbreakable, from Touchstone, and 2016’s Split, from Universal—in one explosive, all-new comic-book thriller: Glass.

Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

Glass features:
Director: M. Night Shyamalan
Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price/Mr. Glass
Bruce Willis as David Dunn
James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb/The Horde
Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke
Sarah Paulson as Dr. Ellie Staple
Spencer Treat Clark as Joseph Dunn
Charlayne Woodard as Mrs. Price

Glass hits theaters January 18

I read the reviews and the spoilers, and I'm still darn excited to see it. Seems like something of a bleak movie. I'm in.

First reactions to Alita: Battle Angel are in, and they are surprisingly positive.

“Just saw Alita: Battle Angel and it kinda blew my mind. Can’t wait for everyone to see it! More anime/manga adaptations like this please,” the writer admitted.

Navarro’s sentiments were followed by Chris Sylvia, a writer for Regal Movies. “Alita kicks serious hardcore butt,” he shared online. “Must be experienced in 3D.”

“Alita: Battle Angel is a wild, visceral ride that offers kick-ass action, an immersive virtual world and a surprising amount of emotional weight. Everything rests on you loving the character of Alita and she is fully fleshed out; strong, flawed, endearing and rebellious,” Shirey wrote.

“There are a lot of surprises in #AlitaBattleAngel with some dark turns and violent bursts of action, as well as characters that break free of being humdrum digital beings and emerge as fully rounded individuals. Spectacle is aplenty, but it’s not without investment,” he continued.

“I do have a few issues with #AlitaBattleAngel which ultimately end up being a desire to see more, which is a good problem to have. More later.”

@HeavyMetal4Life -
First reactions are normally always positive given these people are allowed to see a movie before everyone else which creates a 'buzz' they feel special and unique and as such are more likely to state a film is good

With that said, i hope this movie is good. This film and Detective Pikachu will be key to the inneviteable rise of anime adaptations as the next Hollywood focal point. A wealth of untapped media with a fanbase effectively ready to go out and buy every bit of merchandise.

Sad to hear about the mixed response I wanted M.night to start a winning streak again I’ve never actually seen the films that are considered his worst but signs is one of my favourite films of all time

@manofillintent1 - If you like so-bad-it's-good flicks, watch The Happening with a big bottle of booze and let the laughs flow! 🤣

@manofillintent1 - Signs is great, along with Sixth Sense.
But yeah, best to avoid his worst ones (The Village is one of the few films that actually angered me after seeing the ending)

I read the spoilers, and if true, the ending is weird but I believe the general population will love it. Odd choice though

I don't understand how this guy gets to keep making movies? Unbreakable was his only decent film and it was just ok.
