JURASSIC WORLD Toys Reveal A New Hybrid Dinosaur

We know about the fearsome Indominus Rex of course, but the following images of some packaged toys from the upcoming Jurassic World line reveal another, more docile hybrid. Will she actually appear in the movie? We now also know the names of Chris Pratt's Raptor buddies.

We've seen smaller versions of some of these already, but now images of several dinos from the upcoming Jurassic World toy line have found their way online in their packaging, and might reveal some interesting things about the movie. First off, we have this Stegosaurus/Triceratops hybrid -- perhaps the Indominus Rex isn't the only genetically altered dinosaur that'll be featured? Well, as we've come to expect from these movie-based toys, not everything we see in plastic winds up on the screen. A safer bet for an actual movie revelation is the names of the three Raptors we see being trained by Chris Pratt's character in the trailers. It seems they'll go by "Charlie", "Echo" and "Delta". "Clever as ever, Jurassic World’s velociraptors — Charlie, Delta, and Echo — are masterful hunters. Now, they’re teaming up to hunt the ultimate predator!" Not particularly imaginative, but there you go. More images at the link below.

Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World. Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure from a screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers.

Jurassic World opens June 12th.

I'm still flip-flopping on the idea of Christ Pratt: Raptor Wrangler and teaming up to take down the real threat...but if they actually take the next step and make the 3 Velociraptors into a sort of 'character' of their own, well, that could be freaking awesome haha.

But a Triceratops/Stegasaurus hybrid? UGH. That's exactly the kind of crap we all were afraid of when we heard about the different animal characteristics going into the I-Rex. Leave that out of the movie, please.

I hope there's a scene where they show a bunch of failed hybrids, before they perfected the process and made the Indominus Rex. Like a bunch of test tubes or something showing different breeds crossed with each other in weird ways.

Pratt training the raptors is my favorite part so far.
Why wouldn't they train the dinosaurs to prevent new accidents. Also it seems like Pratt is the only one who can "control" them so it's not like they're not wild killing machines anymore

It'd be funny if a raptors name was Chris Bosh

That f*cking stegoceratops or whateverthe[frick] better not end up in the film. That is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I've made my peace with the IndominousRex hybrid...but that stupid thing pictures above better not actually be a thing in the final product or I'm gonna lose it.
Between that and the training of velociraptors...they are walking on thin ice, as it is. I'm doing everything I can to give this movie the benefit of the doubt....but my gut tells me this movie is going to absolutely suck.

I remember when the 1st JP came out, I had a bunch of the toys. T-Rex, Raptors, Triceratops, Alan Grant, and the SUV.

At first I wasn't sure about the idea of Pratt as a raptor wrangler, but then if the raptors in the JP world are as smart as they are suggested to be, it makes perfect sense. Smarter creatures would be easier to train. Note, I didn't say tame, but train, I don't think they've domesticated raptors by this point.

Instead of making fake creatures, why not use real dinosaurs instead. Therizinosaurs are an awesome species of dinosaur and yet they still haven't been shown. They had razer sharp nails three feet long. Who wouldn't want to see them. Psittacosaurus is another dinosaur that would be cool to see. They had quills on them, plus poison sacs.

To me I always find it weird that people like the carnivore dinosaurs more then the herbivores. The herbivores were built like tanks. Look at a Brachiosaurus not only were they tall, they could use their tail and neck as a whip. Even the most famous herbivore dinosaur the Triceratops was more dangerous then the T-Rex experts say. Some experts even believe they had glands on their legs that if they felt in danger they could release either a pus like substance or a stinky smell from them, to warn away other dinosaurs.

So I just don't get why in the movie JW they had to make fake animals, when many great ones still haven't been shown. I would have enjoyed seeing a Styracosaurus but I know that's not going to happen.

Even in this day and age people think lions and tigers are the most dangerous animals. Yet the most dangerous ones are the herbivores. The hippopotamus, rhinoceros & elephants are the most deadly. So it is disappointing that in JW they won't be making them out to be the dangerous creatures.

this lame ass shit should not surprise anybody. this is the merch for all 4 jp movies. you have dinosaurs and battle damaged dinosaurs. making dinosaurs that are mixed together was inevitable.

not excited for this movie at all.

@SauronsBane, i am definitely one who flipped his lid, in a positive way, about that bit of Pratt and his raptor gang in the trailer. Yes it is silly and maybe a bit cheese, but also awesome.

Still got a handful of the original JP toys, the large TRex still is still awesome. They looked a lot better than this new toy line. Though I guess not all have been revealed as of yet.

I had a problem with the scene where one of the flying reptiles snatched a woman and flew away with her. JP3 was critized for this same reason. It's been established that they were not strong enough to fly with a body that big

@ruadh Yeah to be honest, it's definitely a concept that's growing on me. It just feels like Trevorrow isn't really taking this terribly seriously like some other filmmakers would've, and if he nails that tone in the movie, it'll be genuinely awesome.

Fingers crossed!

The raptors names are Blue, Charlie, Delta, Echo. I think some of them will die during the battle with Indominus Rex.

It will probably just be in a scene or two explaining the splicing of differnt dinosaurs. and he doesnt train the raptors he lives as one of them or an equal. I think their is a theory that says they cant be trained.
