Benedict Cumberbatch And Harrison Ford Deflect STAR WARS EPISODE VII Rumors...Together!

Could this be our first look at what's to come in J.J. Abrams Star Wars Episode VII? In the same interview, both Benedict Cumberbatch (Star Trek Into Darkness) and Harrison Ford (Ender's Game) both refuse to either confirm or deny their involvement in the movie. Check it out!

Neither Benedict Cumberbatch or Harrison Ford reveal whether or not they'll appear in Star Wars Episode VII in their dual appearance on The Graham Norton Show, but the duo's body language might just reveal all! If this is the kind of chemistry we can expect to see in the J.J. Abrams helmed sequel, then 2015 can't get here soon enough! Anyway, check out the fun video interview below and stay tuned for official news (which will hopefully reach us sooner rather than later).

@ALegendaryPanda Yeah I'm getting that feeling too. The way Harrison looks at Cumberbatch when Norton asks (Harrison) "You're in it, right?". It kind of seems like Cumberbatch is in it, and Harrison knows.

Hopefully SOMETHING can be confirmed soon. All we have are these rumors and these funny glances at the moment.

Definitely sounds like Cumberbatch is in it, since he didn't deny it that time, heh..

I think I understand why they won't confirm their involvement. It's because they probably want the reveal to be huge when viewing the movie. Because you gotta think this is Star Wars the most well-known and biggest franchise out there. What I'm wondering is how they are going to carter to new and old fans of the prequel trilogy and original trilogy. Because even though yoda darth vader and all them are dead I feel as if they have to be included some how just because of how well known they are. That I think is the bigger question

The Graham Norton Show is great, I'm not sure if we get it here in America or not. Was this on BBC America?

At this point its just fun watching him try to avoiding talking about the film he's DEFINITELY signed on for haha

This is the team (Abrams, Arndt etc.) that should've done the prequels.

1. Not having Lucas to write a poor script, the Anakin story was weak, starting from episode two (an arrogant prick). I watched the prequel again this week, and the problem I have with the sequals like most others is that you dont care about Anakin's fate. If Luke would've betrayed his friends in ep. 6, then I would've been heartbroken, thats the feeling I wish I had when Anakin turned evil.

I'm sure Arndt will deliver a really good script.

2. Less greens creens, only ep. 1 "looked" like the old Star Wars if you ask me.

3. J.J is a much better director than Lucas.

4. I really hope ep.7 will a mature movie, like ESB.

Im confident ep. 7 will just as good as ROTJ or New Hope.

They literally picked the one director that could have gotten me excited about the star wars sequels and if Benedict cumberbatch gets added on it's all just gravy from this point on

@Jollem I think he was at one point a good director. But I think during the time he was making the prequels, he sort of lost his way because of the technology.

@blackandyellow he's a way better actor than Fillion though. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Sherlock and gave a great performance and have more dimension than the character shouldn't have had with a shitty script in Khan.

@blackandyellow I agree with you. Cumberbatch's Not-Khan was nothing special. Not in one scene. And Hayden Christensen is universally hated for portraying a whiny, crying Anakin yet Cumberbatch is loved for doing the same with Not-Khan.
Not-Khan was a neutered, balless, WE TV channel Khan for 30-40 year old Mothers. He was a woman's Khan, crying, soft spoken and sensitive with his Motherly love for his crew.

Ironically the "lie" was the truth; he was Not-Khan.

Cumberbatch has done no acting I've seen that's extraordinary.

I think it may be time to kill off Han.
gaikinger
gaikinger - 10/11/2013, 7:16 PM
....seriously though I think killing off Han and or Lea will be good for the emotional impact, torch passing, and to finally establish some real emotional stakes that I think will make the movies stronger and more urgent.

I heart Star Wars. Heart it. Harrison is my hero.
Also, Grif, shut your bitchy, 5 year old mouth. Your everything wrong with comment boards and why people came up with that stupid word "troll" I hate to use it but if I have any understanding of the word, you are it. Tool.

It sounds like Harrison is either definitely involved or deep in talks, but is hesitant because he's not sure we need Grandpa Han. Cumberbatch sounds like he is involved, and though I think he'd be fine in it if rather he stay out of the wars since he has been trekking.

At least there are still some classy and modest actors left in Hollywood. I can picture Cumberbatch as young solo, but as great an actor as he is, Harrison always had this "everyman" charm about him, and the brits rarely exude that quality.

Call me crazy.... But Benedict Cumberbatch, as much as I'd love to see him as a SITH lord or even a Jedi..... Would make a PERFECT GRAND ADMIRAL THRAWN!!! He's the coldest yet most artistic villain the Star Wars expanded universe has ever seen, who uses art to dissect and break down an opponents strategy, who doesn't have force powers and yet brings the entire new republic to its knees. And after seeing him as Khan and his dissection ability in sherlock. The guy is THRAWN, aka one of the most dangerous and iconic villains in all of the Star Wars post return of the Jedi storyline.
