The Amazing Spider-Man Uses Sneakers!

Courtesy of CBM user Dubean33 and the forums over at SuperHerohype, we may have an explanation about what those sneakers were in the set photos...

Since the first set photos for the upcoming reboot surfaced online almost 2 months ago, many have speculated about Spidey's shoes in the upcoming reboot.
For months, we've all try to figure out the mystery surrounding the weird silver soles the Spidey-suit sported. Speculation ranged from stunt shoes to sneakers.

The shoes are actually running shoes from the Asics shoe brand. It's seems that the Spider-Man reboot is embracing a real world feel, similar to Christopher Nolan's Batman series, and is adding somewhat of a real-life functionality to the suit.

I personally expected since the beginning that the funky looking shoes that Spider-Man had in the set pictures were sneakers but it looks now that we have "semi-official" confrimation.

How do feel about Spider-Man's sneakers in the upcoming reboot as opposed to the classic , sock like footie?

So gay. I would assume that it'd take the biggest of loser-like nerds to bare wearing those fashion disasters. Hideous doesn't even begin to--

They're undoubtedly the same shoe, but I'd say it's far more likely that the stuntman was just wearing them as he had to do a lot of running and jumping. Sort of like Chris Evans and those Hobbit Feet.

i think it was just the stunt man wearing them for stunt work. in the official spider-man shot, i'm pretty sure they're not there.

Ok but if hes wearing them atleast get someone from the fashion department of them movie or something like that to cover the silver partings. It doesnt make sense to and is shit. But in my heart of hearts this movie will be good.

Am I alone in saying that hollywood needs to stop doing reboots when a film doesn't require one. I know Spidey 3 was crap but They have done that one let's do Thundercats orWonder Woman or Black Panther. Let's see something different hollywood!!!!!!!!!!!!

No your not @bigleo, i agree, Hollywood has its final. It's time to suit up and fight this unessary reboot aditction. It's the fans are addicted to that Bibber kid, now they'll be atticted Garlfiled and this reboot.

I'm guessing Andy's never seen the first 3. Ha-ha- oh well.

@justice - that was horrific spelling lol, and garfield has stated that he read the comics growing up, which to me is far more important than him watching the first 3 films.

This costume makes sense. I really like how it's trying to be simple and edgy, too.
Even if this is only for stunts.

All the costume hate for Spidey and GL. Did every one hate on the "Batman Begins" costume when we first saw it, cause it looks nothing like the comics. I'm just saying'.

I said from the start that this was shoes used by the stuntman, making it more comfortable performing stunts and running around on icecold stonehard asphalt.(like the hobbit-feet used by Chris Evans for CA:TFA)

But I guess haters are gonna go to the hate-bank and collect their hatecheck everytime they get the chance to do so.

I got agree with Xenix if they were to keep the stuntmans feet like the hobbit feet Evans wore wouldnt they look like the Spidey boots through and through.

That aint hate that's logic

Ok, so first theres nonstop complaining about how the suit doesnt look homemade and that Peter Parker couldnt possible make such a detailed suit but you add some sneakers(that happen to real) to his suit and now thats the problem? You would rather have him in spandex boots that dont ever tear or get dirty?
