NINJA TURTLES Shoots Tomorrow In New York; Working Title Revealed

On Location Vacations have confirmed that the sets being built around Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh, NY are not for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as was originally thought, but for Michael Bay and Jonathan Liebesman's Ninja Turtles. If you live in the area, why not head take a stole over and see what you can find out.

They also reveal the following:

We’ve heard filming will start on April 4 and have confirmed the working title for the movie is Foursquare. Grant Wilfley Casting is also seeking the following extras for the feature film, “beautiful female models willing to work for regular background rate ($145/8hrs), email [email protected] if interested.”

Well, Bay may not be directing this movie but his fingerprints are all over it. Ninja Turtles stars Megan Fox as April O’Neil, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, and Noel Fisher as Michelangelo. Will Arnett was also added to the cast recently but his role remains undisclosed. We still don't know who will play Shredder and Splinter.

I don't think this movie will be good. But for some reason I'm slightly intrigued by it.

Looking forward to seeing where this one goes! Not going to bash it like many other people...lol I'm not saying that I'm 100% down for the entire "alien turtles" thing either but I mean hey, we can guarantee there will be action and humor. So fingers crossed for a good story!

Really looking forward to Transformers 4 as well.

This will be the greatest movie ever made. Michael Bay out did himself with the Transformers films and now producing this. Even the exceptional in talent being involved such as Megan Fox, one of the greatest actresses to have ever lived. Conveying such deep emotions for such tragic characters as portrayed in previous films. Ninja Turtles will be the next Citizen Cane of film making in terms of advancements. This will be the ultimate film of our times and generation. This is another Michael Bay gem...

I'm confused by the alien turtles thing. Does it mean they're created by aliens or actually aliens? The summary on IMDB sounded pretty awful. Something about an alien invasion and the ninja turtles have to stop it.

@ArmoredAsgardian:

I have astrong feeling that they are going to be an Alien species that wasn't meant to be left here on Earth. Or perhaps they may have been sent to Earth as a sign of hope for their race of wherever they may be from. Perhaps the Alien invasion is actually meant to be their classic villains but they're just using "alien" to describe them for their mutations and etc?

I'm a little more concerned with how they'll handle Master Splinter and Shredder???

Thanks for clearing that up. I was never really that much a TMNT fan in my childhood years but as I grew older I enjoyed hearing/learning about them and their villains and etc.

Looking forward to seeing where the film goes!

Well, this is a producer movie, so it has Michael Bay all over it. The director is just another hired ass to follow whatever Bay wants.

Hi, new to this site so here goes with my comment...I'm un sure with this TMNT film but I shall just wait patiently for a trailer. Also the whole "alien" theme maybe the slime that mutates the turtles? If any one has watched the new TMNT show from Nickelodeon then you will know what I mean. Just hope the film turns out ok...finger's crossed!

They wont be aliens as they wouldn't be turtles. You actually think the writers are that dumb to have humanoid turtles from another planet? Thats ridiculous. Is it going to be a bazaaro world where animals are humanoid and rule the world while you have humans on all 4's become the bottom of the food chain?
Wait.. that sounds pretty cool! lol

"Well, Bay may not be directing this movie but his fingerprints are all over it."

That's exactly why I don't have high hopes for this.

I enjoyed TF1&3, because I saw them as pure popcorn movies. I wasn't expecting anything more.

But TMNT is a lot different from Transformers. As funny as this sounds, TMNT is more grounded. I mean, Look at the first TMNT movie and compare it to the first Transformers movie. Comparing the movies is as different as night and day. Michael Bay will ruin would could've been a great new TMNT movie.

@Nightcrawler Welcome to CBM! All us old school TMNT fans are trying to be as positive as possible for this film, but it's very hard.

@FIRG I don't hate him when he directs Victoria's Secret commercials.

I wish he would quit directing movies and focus solely on shooting VS commercials.

@LizardKing I'm not wasting $10 on this movie! I'll Redbox it.

I didn't turn my brain off with the other TMNT movies, because they had heart. It wasn't all action. So I'm not going to do that with this one.

Nightcrawler1986 - 4/3/2013, 11:13 PM
@geoff88 thanks, much appreciated! I am too but if it manages to capture what makes TMNT great then Bay is onto a winner, if not, then no doubt it will be a "hit" but not so great for the "true" fans of the show.

if they're just an alien species of turtle that was left on earth and still got ooze'd in the sewer would everyone still be mad? I personally can't wait for this movie and it is going to make crazy money.

Some people don't seem to get the whole point of alien ooze............

Seriously are people making me think this only turns them into big green turtles.. This ooze effect splinter too.....Or did people forget him? lmfao

But seriously the ooze is probably something from 'Krang'

I was a fan of the TMNT when i was a kid. Loved the videogames, cartoons, live action movies and i had all the toys. But seriously, I'm still gonna watch this movie and enjoy it as a popcorn action flick. The turtles haven't had a movie since that cgi crap movie- i really didn't like it.

So this...isn't too big of a step down. As long as the turtles are at least SOMEWHAT recognizable...and as long as they keep that cool sounding Krang invasion storyline, then I'm all good.

Based on the new story:
The Secret Ooze comes from the lab TCI, which is run by KRANG who is from Dimension X which is from outer space or somewhere "Alien" like. So yes the Turtles are native but have been mutated by Alien Ooze.
