The recent news that original big-screen Batman Michael Keaton was in talks to reprise the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman for Warner Bros.' upcoming The Flash/Flashpoint movie has resulted in a lot of rumor and speculation (and more than a little speculation presented as rumor) doing the rounds, and this latest report from DCEU Mythic relates to the costume the Academy Award-nominated actor is expected to don when he suits back up as The Dark Knight.
According to Jeremy Conrad's "reliable source," Keaton's Batsuit will be "heavily inspired" by the armored outfit the older Bruce Wayne in Mark Waid and Alex Ross' classic 1996 miniseries, Kingdom Come. This comes on the heels of THR's confirmation that the character will indeed be suiting up in The Flash.
How much stock should we put in this? Well, the source has had some pretty big stories pan out in the past, but this particular "rumor" feels more like an educated guess to us. After all, it wouldn't exactly be a surprise if WB and director Andrés Muschietti looked to one of the most well-known older Batman stories for inspiration for their older Batman - especially since The Dark Knight Returns suit was utilized for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
