A Number Of CAPTAIN AMERICA Characters Rumored For An Appearance In ANT-MAN

It sounds as if Marvel will continue to flesh out their Cinematic Universe in Ant-Man as a number of familiar faces will apparently make an appearance during some flashback scenes featuring the young Hank Pym (Michael Douglas). You may just be surprised by who makes up this list...

Latino-Review are back with yet another Marvel Studios scoop, this time on Ant-Man. If you recall, there were reports around the time that Edgar Wright departed the project that the studio had sent his and Joe Cornish's script off for rewrites to better integrate the film into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (it had after all been in development since long before even Iron Man was released). An early version of the revised script apparently featured a scene with Hank Pym going to a meeting at S.H.I.E.L.D. with Howard Stark, Peggy Carter, Arnim Zola and a young Alexander Pierce. Whether this is a scene which makes it into the final cut isn't clear, and we're not entirely sure when the meeting takes place - following WWII seems unlikely given Douglas' age, so the 60s seems like a safe bet - but it's certainly a clever way to tie this movie into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, wouldn't you say? My bet would be that S.H.I.E.L.D. tries to recruit the original Ant-Man...

LOL! I am still holding out some hope for this movie! And of course they will throw in some other characters to tie this into the MCU, or they just could have tied this with Ultron............

Here's the thing: As cool as this may be, what is the actual point of it? Marvel wanted to develop more of the whole SHIELD/HYDRA thing and I get that, but why risk losing one of your best directors when you could just wait until Cap 3?

Why do we have to have an old Hank Pym thanks alot Edgar. They could have used Blizzard or Whirlwind or Claw. P.s I haven't read the comics only watched EMH.

I love how retarded the Kardashians are. I watch their shows whenever there's nothing else on because it's comedy gold to see how thick skulled they are.

Marvel made a choice when they decided to leave Hank Pym out of Avengers and keep him away from Ultron. They chose to keep him stand-alone, now they should honor that by keeping him out of whatever else is going on in the MCU and have this movie seriously be by itself. Why would you just throw away Edgar Wright for this?

Wouldn't it be great if this movie contained epic action sequences to rival GOTG and AVENGERS? Imagine big battles -- at small scale.

Wait , what?

Marvel actually has plans to show young Hank in the MCU? Which means young Janet? And they're possibly the very first candidates for a potential Avengers Team that was spear headed by Howard, Peggy & Pierce in the 60's?

Who woulda thought.
