As we are all aware, to coincide with Marvel Studio's 2012 film extravaganza, The Avengers, an animated series will be made in time to air next year in order for younger audiences to familiarize with The Avengers before the big screen film hits.

Now in an exclusive interview with Wally Wingert from Keloland, Wingert has revealed that he will voice Hank Pym in the upcoming The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

Wingert mentioned: “We’re wrapping up the second season of Avengers from Marvel; I play Ant Man, Giant Man, soon to be Yellow Jacket."

So... wait, they are completed with the second season? That is a little shocking, but what should be exciting for some of us fans is that Pym will be suiting up as all three of his superhero counterparts in the show. Lets hope the animated series is similar to The Spectacular Spider-Man, which was not full of nonsense made for kids.

Whoever would have thought the announcer for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno would be Hank Pym?

"So... wait, they are completed with the second season?"

From what I hear, they're airing a 20-part micro series this fall and then they'll air the regular series.Maybe he's referring to the micro series as season one.

"Lets hope the animated series is similar to 'The Spectacular Spider-Man', which was not full of nonsense made for kids."

I don't think this will be aimed at kids.I read the target age was 9-14.Shows like Spectacular Spider-Man,Wolverine and the X-Men and Avatar The Last Airbender had a younger demographic, yet they weren't kids shows.

"This is the second season? When did the first one come out? I have the two animated movies but didn't know about the tv series.."

The series hasn't aired yet.A 20-part micro series is supposed to air on Disney XD later this year.He could be calling that the first season. The actual first season starts next year, which he is probably calling season 2.

If you're talking about the Ultimate Avengers movies, they are separate from this series.

This cartoon is going to ROCK! Why? Because it's the first Avengers cartoon to feature the REAL team! Not that West Coast Abomination that was on in the 90's!

I hope he voices Ultron as well. And that whoever plays Vision also plays Wonder Man, and whoever plays Wasp also plays Jocasta, and so on.

Cool. @Overcross He was awesome doing the voice of the Riddler in Batman Arkham Asylum. Off topic here, but, he said Riddler will be in the game's sequel but didn't say whether the Riddler would appear physically.
