Teresa Palmer Keen on Playing 'Talia Al Ghul' in The Dark Knight Rises!

The Sorcerer's Apprentice actress is still interested in playing Talia Al Ghul in The Dark Knight Rises, after being attached to the role in the delayed Justice League movie. Check it Out

Speaking with Movie Web, actress Teresa Palmer, who recently appeared in The Sorcerer's Apprentice and was attached to George Miller's now-delayed Justice League of America movie, revealed that she remains interested in her JLA role, Talia Al Ghul—but in Chris Nolan's long awaited Dark Knight Rises.

While Talia Al Ghul has only been speculated for TDKR since contenders for two unknown female roles, one of which is said to be a villain were revealed, Palmer says:

"I've definitely put the feelers out there with my agents and that would be something I would be really glad to have happen. I doubt I would be one of the actresses high up on Nolan's list. I think they are definitely going after woman with a much bigger profile than [mine]."

"I was going to do it with a Russian accent in Justice League of America and I was fitted for all the outfits. It is the longest shot in history for sure but I've put my name out there with my agents and things. So we'll see who ends up doing that role. My managers made the phone calls but I'm pretty sure that they will end up going with a big name girl."

In the comics, Talia al Ghul was the mother of Batman's son, Damien, and the daughter of his archenemy, Ra's al Ghul. Being that Ra's was the main villain in Batman Begins, portrayed by Liam Neeson, it's plausible that Chris Nolan would introduce Talia in the the final installment for the Caped Crusader. the jokers performance dosent have to be topped for this to be a better movie, people easily seem to forget this movies about BATMAN not his villian, yes ledger was epic as the joker, but TDKR has a better storyline then it will be a better movie.

and why does another villain have to TOP the joker, he's batmans eternal nemesis no else should be able to push batman to his limits then the joker, yes batman should be challenged but no villain is more challenging for batman then the joker

I would love to see Talia in the third film.

While the acting was outstanding in The Dark Knight, the story was not complete. Batman Begins was a much better film.

i really REALLY hope Nolan uses the Talia Al Ghul character... ...but i hope he goes with a different actress...NOLAN-If you read this...please use Talia Al Ghul in TDKR. ...aw who am i kiddin...he doesnt read these things. .lol

What a lame character...What happen to classic villain with real personality..Riddler, Penguin, Bane, Poison Ivy, Harlequin, Killer Croc...is he so out of option? Mainstream audience go to see these movies for the next villain and if the character is too vague they won't bother seeing a third installment of batman.

just not a fan man. i was ready for the riddler. i'd settle for hush or black mask, but i'm just not feelin talia. i just dont get excited when i hear about her. give me catwoman over her.

i just think with all the twists and turns and mystery stuff nolan does so well, the riddler would be perfect. i really just feel like the riddler is a perfect nolan villain. so many possibilities

Anyone else remember how much Nolan was so against the JLA film using Talia....? Sounds like a confirmation to me. Talia as a female villain and Catwoman as Batmans interest. Who Hardy is still the question, Max Cort, Black Mask, Hush?

Please work in Talia! Seriously it would bring the series to a close perfectly. Talia and the league of assassins seek revenge against Batman for the "death" of Ra's. So they hire some mercs, cue in a decent version of Deadshot (frick smallville's version) or Hush and throw in Bane as a minor villain too appease some of the fans. Maybe have Talia fall in love with Bruce along the line. you could potentially bring in the grayson's death during an assassination attempt on Bruce thus appeasing the Robin fans.

If they were to use Talia, it would have to be as a love interest or very minor player.
My guess would be they will either establish that Bruce is Batman as long as he is physically capable or that this is Batman's last adventure.

The last part for two reasons: Nolan has stated this Batman is in his own universe (no JLA/Superman) and Bale has mentioned that the two of them would like to come back to the character in ten years (hint: "The Dark Knight Returns").

Chris Nolan is infamuosly secretive, and his Batman series is the most successful, most acclaimed series in recent years.

Nolan doesn't really need to audition actresses who are hopeful. He can just contact anyone he wants, as her to audition on the provision she keeps mum on the whole thing. And they'd do it.

The identity of the female villain, be it Catwoman, Talia or whoever will be is a closely guarded secret that Teresa Palmer is in no way privy to.

She's a fantastic actress and should have been picked to play Gwen in the Spider-Man reboot. As for this movie, I have a feeling that she's a little too young and that Nolan will already have someone in mind. I'd like her to get it though.

Come to think of it, I think Talia would be better than Catwoman for TDKR. Her inclusion would bring the whole trilogy full circle. She comes to avenge her father but ends up falling for Bruce. Now she's caught up with her feelings for him & her obligation to her father/ League of Shadows.
Also I find Hugo Strange a really interesting addition. Joker did say all the crazies would be coming out now. As much as I don't mind seeing Catwoman & Riddler. I think two villains never before seen would be a better idea. Talia & Hugo Strange FTW

She doesn't know that Talia Al Ghul is in it. She's asked her agents to put the word out, so how would any word of who the character is get to her, in the first place? This is not confirmation.

I agree she looks the part waaaay more than Teresa. But I remember reading the first story where Batman sees Talia, and I guess tons of stories with her in them after and thinking, she should be the most beautiful girl ever. I think it would be hard for anyone too pull of that. Yes guys, I mean beautiul, not just sex appeal lol.
