Say what you will about her acting ability, but there's no denying that Ronda Rousey looks the part of Carol Danvers! The undefeated UFC fighter has so far had minor acting roles in movies like Furious 7 and The Expendables, but she's looking to change that in a major way over the next few years, with Captain Marvel very much in her sights. "I'm really looking forward to doing my first starring role opposite Mark Wahlberg," Rousey explained in a recent interview. "Hopefully by the time Captain Marvel comes around, I will have enough experience and skills in the field for them to really seriously consider me." What do you guys think? I think it's highly unlikely, but who knows, I don't think she's ever actually had a real acting role, the Fast and Furious movies are known for action and cars, so, who knows, plus once she stops fighting, and if she decides to fully dedicate herself to acting, anything is possible, she is talented and extremely motivated when she's passionate about something

Charlize Theron would be a perfect Captain Marvel.
She's got the acting chops, she's badass, she can do cosmic and epic, she looks the part, she's charismatic, she's a star, she can do funny...
Sure, she's not 23, anymore, but they only need to get a trilogy out of her and look at Downey Jr. He's no spring chicken, you know.
Charlize Theron would have great chemistry with Tom Holand's Spidey, as well as the rest of the Avengers.

Is it too obvious? Or are we still casting fighters and pop stars and models and women who read the weather?
Because I'd quite like them to cast an actress in the role. I think that would be neat.
After all they do need more than just photo-reference for a comic-book sketch.
They need someone who can bring the character to life.
Charlize can take a flat, unwritten character and create something like Furiosa. Imagine what she could do with Carol Danvers.

First you have to be able to act.

THEN you have approval to express interest in a role.


Such as the all mighty Mads Mikkelsen who I - goddamit- wanted to play Doctor Strange. (Still waiting for him to be cast in a role in DS)

He deserves to be in the MCU. Ronda's done frick all to express any talent or quality to her name apart from being able to fight but that's meaningless in this situation so... STOP IT.

Well, I must say she has a powerful presence. And I wouldn' want to see a Carol Danvers who doesn't scream badass. She doesn't need to be hot or sexy as much as strong and charismatic: she's no Supergirl, dammit!
And it's always a bonus when an actor wants to play a role so much. Soooo… I really hope she succeeds in improving her acting, impresses everyone at Marvel and gets the part.

Gadot has more acting experience than Rousey, it may not all be in English, but she has more experience and she looks awesome in the trailers, plus she has a bunch of movies coming up and she's working with really talented actors and directors, totally different situation

I really cant wait till this phase of her is over. I had enough of her before her last fight and I tired of her before a punch was thrown. She cant act, shes not that good looking. Its like cause she is know she is hot. Like Danika Patrick. Take away the nascar part and she is just some ok looking chick. Rousey cant act to save her life, she is strong, but has a body that scares me, doesnt turn me on and when I look at her face I think two things, 1 she looks really pissed off or she is trying to hold a fart, and 2 I keep staring at that mold on her face. Im sure that wont help with a secret superhero identity! God I hope they dont cast her!
