With all the
Doctor Strange rumors and potential scoops hitting the Internet the past few weeks, every fan is entitled to believe what he or she wants. At least until Marvel Studios makes an official announcement about anything
Doctor Strange movie-related. It's all very subjective to each individual's own perception right now.
That's fine. There's no need to pressure anyone into believing something is 100 percent truth just because it has been published online. Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion.
Getting to the dirt of this post, ComicBookMovie.com's The Daily SuperHero has received not one, not two but three actual pages of the
Doctor Strange script. These pages have been provided by a Marvel source who is close to the development of the film and this is being done to help give clarity to some of the reports on various websites. Now there's no reason to start naming any names but it sounds like false information has been reported online so far.
Right away the working title of
Doctor Strange, either currently or at some point of it's development is
"Eye See You." Of course fans know what this implies but for those who don't know it is a play off of the Doctor's Eye of Agamotto amulet.
The Marvel source says the pages were made available to
"give an idea of how Strange is placed within the MCU/chronological timeline." The following text is paraphrased from the original script pages:
"Nick Fury and SHIELD locate a strong power reading from a mountain in Tibet. Another person is in the same room with Fury and also sees a green-like radiation pulsing from the mountain and asks Fury is it's terrestrial. Fury says it is being analyzed but he hasn't seen such a power surge since Bruce Banner had an accident with Gamma Rays. Fury concludes by saying the Black Widow is in the vicinity and will investigate but until she sends a report, SHIELD is not sure what the proper response is at the moment.
"Then, the third page starts with Doctor Strange begin tired and goes to lay down for the night and in the morning is awakened by his trusted partner Wong. Strange is brought some coffee. Strange sits up and has some menial banter with Wong and grabs a newspaper. The first headline on the paper talks about a giant earthquake in New York, while the second headline says that Tony Stark is officially Iron Man. His response to the Stark headline is, 'Lucky bastard.'"
What is interesting is how the earthquake in New York headline seems to refer to
The Incredible Hulk movie and the battle in Harlem. That page also seems to be near the beginning of the
Doctor Strange movie but no clarification on where in the movie these pages take place were given.
And there you have it. Take it with a grain of salt or believe all of it as long as you remember scripts go through so many draft revisions before production begins that what is being reported now can, and probably will, change by the time the cameras start rolling.
