Recently IGN caught up with Kevin Feige at an advance screening for Guardians of the Galaxy and they took the time to to ask him about Doctor Strange teaming up with the Avengers and gave us an update on casting!
"It does make sense [to have standalone franchises], but I don't think it makes sense for this character, who has clearly woven in and out of that stuff [The Avengers] in the comics," Feige said "We have a template. There's a template for everything we do, which are the comics. Strange goes back and forth. Guardians less so, actually, until recently. But if there's a character like that who clearly interweaves over the course of many stories, I find no reason to go, 'We're not going to do that in the movies. We're going to keep him in his own movies.' So there's always the potential for it [Strange to join The Avengers]"
IGN then went on to ask if we will be getting a casting annoucement regarding Doctor Strange. Feige said while it may not be as quick as next Saturday "it'll be relatively quickly."
Well casting for the film could still possibly be revealed this Saturday at Comic-Con, if not it's they're gonna reveal it quick like he said! Could that mean before or after the event? What do you think? Would you want to see the 'Sorcerer Supreme' team up with the Earth's Mightiest Heroes in the future? Sound off below!
