SDCC '11: Full Logo Revealed For Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance!

Right after the footage description and panel at San Diego Comic Con, Sony has launched an official site for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and with that we have our first look at the logo. Check it out!

Set several years after the first film finds Johnny Blaze in self-imposed exile from the world. Blaze has become a tormented soul, convinced that his powers are a curse. Former stuntman Blaze is then approached by Moreau, a member of the monastic order of Michael, the warrior angel. Moreau seeks a protector for a mother and son duo who are being pursued by a figure named Roarke – a fellow with a detailed knowledge of the Ghost Rider and his different identities over the centuries.

Even though there is still nothing on the site besides the logo, you can check it out by clicking the image below. I'm guessing the official teaser should be online soon.

Starring Nicolas Cage, Idris Elba, Johnny Whitworth and Ciarán Hinds, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is set to his theatres on February 17, 2012!

The only way they can go is up, in my opinion.

The 1st movie was pretty bad, storywise. And the villains were a joke.
Visually it was awesome. The scene with Johnny and the old Spirit of Vengeance riding side-by-side was rad.

Hopefully they learned from all the negativity surrounding the first movie that this one comes out better.

And I wanna see Johnny go to Hell!

Ehhhhh, do people care about this movie... like at all? I can't bring myself to care about any of it. And with a February release date? Yeah, this will fail. Hard.

Ghost Rider was the first comic I read when I was a kid in the late 70's and the comic that brought me back reading when it was rebooted in the 90's as a teenager, so I have always loved the character. But the only thing the movie got right was how both the Ghost Riders looked.
I can only hope that this one is better.

this movie will probably be moderately successful consider it's February release. Yeah, people go to movies less in the winter, but, what else is coming out in February that is more appealing than the MARVEL brand?

The first one wasn't that bad.I'm sure this one will be better, having learned from the failures of the 1st.

I was at the panel. Here are my thoughts.

WaY more action then the original.

Ghost rider effect looks real now. Skill it all black and charred and looks like it's actually on fire.

The more looks a lot better then the first in all ways.

Seeing the footage actually got me somewhat excited to see the finished product.

After seeing the awesome art I'm starting to think this will throw that 1st movie outta the window! But then again- it's just the art. :P

I didn't care for Cage in the last movie. The only saving grace was the the look of Ghost Rider i thought it was spot on.

No hope's at all for this film. Nick needs to give up the role, Marvel need rights back. So we can get a younger Johnny Cage and a true portrayal of villains.

It looks to similar to the logo for the 1st one, which is not good if they want to separate this film from the 1st.
