Reynolds has been asked about the possibility of Guy Gardner appearing in this first upcoming movie but kept stchum. Here he mentions the character, but to suggest that both he and Kyle Rayner could feature in future Green Lanternfilms..
"It's a pretty big universe and there's a lot to explore. There's a lot to explore with Hal and without him. You could do a couple more movies with Hal, then you could move onto a movie with Guy Gardner or Kyle Rayner, any of those guys. Of course that doesn't mean they WILL be making in appearance, as Reynolds is quick to point out, everything depends on the success of this first outing for the space faring DC superhero..

Green Lantern will indeed land because they have set their screen writers to work on the sequel already.
Reynolds is talking about these characters taking over from Hal Jordan when he hangs up the ring, but is there any chance of a cameo for these two or indeed John Stewart in this first movie? Like I said, Reynolds has been quizzed on this in previous interviews and didn't rule it out, so you never know!
