The Rock is going on a Rampage! After defeating an earthquake in San Andreas, the former WWE champion will turn his attention to a trio of giant monsters in a film adaptation of the classic Midway video game. Variety report that Johnson will also produce for New Line along with Beau Flynn, with Ryan Engle (Non-Stop) currently working on the script.

In the game players took control of either a massive gorilla (think King Kong), lizard (think Godzilla), or a wolf (think... um, Ghost from Game Of Thrones) and attempted to lay waste to as many cities as possible before the military could stop you. Plot details are under wraps, but it's assumed Johnson would play the hero going up against these creatures, and not one of the creatures themselves - though how cool would that be?

Anyway, Johnson has a LOT on his plate so production is not expected to kick off until next Summer.
