According Geeksofdoom.com's source, the
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot is being pushed back in order to complete necessary reshoots -- reshoots that will make up roughly one third of the film. Apparently producer Michael Bay is personally overseeing this, but no word on whether the movie's director Jonathan Liebsman will return.
TMNT was originally expected in August, but if this is on the level we may well be looking at a holiday release around November/December instead. The first trailer for this didn't go down very well with the hardcore fans, with the new origin story involving Shredder and April O'Neil's father coming in for the most backlash. Could these reshoots have something to do with altering the story? Or is this just the usual padding out of the special effects/action scenes? Keep in mind that this isn't official..until it is.
