According Geeksofdoom.com's source, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot is being pushed back in order to complete necessary reshoots -- reshoots that will make up roughly one third of the film. Apparently producer Michael Bay is personally overseeing this, but no word on whether the movie's director Jonathan Liebsman will return. TMNT was originally expected in August, but if this is on the level we may well be looking at a holiday release around November/December instead. The first trailer for this didn't go down very well with the hardcore fans, with the new origin story involving Shredder and April O'Neil's father coming in for the most backlash. Could these reshoots have something to do with altering the story? Or is this just the usual padding out of the special effects/action scenes? Keep in mind that this isn't official..until it is.

Not a good sign for a Nov/Dec release date heck if it gets released in Dec the Hobbit is going to own that month.

If this is true, then it won't be the first time a movie has moved from around this release spot. Fifty Shades of Grey to be exact

Marvel really hopes it move release date! GOTG has no shot of taking the number 1 spot away from this shitty movie. It's the nostalgia people will flock to this this movie.

yep re-shoot the whole movie. the trailer and the response to it was the reason for the push back.

If this is true, I really don't think GOTG is the reason for the delay. Still, this'll give GOTG a chance for better box-office results! If it's true, that is.

AGAIN--IF YOU FALL FOR THIS HORSESHIT, YOU'RE AN IDIOT.

It's a lame attempt at an April Fools joke. DO you numbnuts honestly think that some no name website would be the first to report it while other, more reputable sites have nothing about this? Use your brains.

If memory serves, Geeks Of Doom were the first to report the first time this movie was pushed back and that turned out to be legit, so yes I'd say they're worth paying attention to.

No, this isn't an April Fools article!
TheFox
TheFox - 3/31/2014, 11:54 AM
Yeah, sure.

This reminds me a LOT of rumor that Fox was dumping the director and cast of the Fantastic Four reboot six months before shooting. I don't think it's credible-- I think it's a website looking for hits and playing upon people's initial negative perceptions of a movie. It's a cheap ploy for Internet traffic.

"Oh, so they didn't like the trailer, huh? If we say it's pushed back a few months, fans will flip their sh*t and see it as a sure sign of how screwed up the movie is... People hate Michael Bay's guts, right? Let's say he's overseeing reshoots of a third of the movie! That'll get us hits..."

I give it a week until it's debunked.
