POLL: What Did You Think Of THE WALKING DEAD Finale & The GAME OF THRONES Premiere?

Last night saw one great show's third season end as another's began, but both seem to have left fans just slightly - or more than slightly in some cases - disappointed. What did you think? SPOILERS for both shows ahead..

The Walking Dead went out with a...whimper? Actually I thought it was pretty good; not what I was expecting but still quite powerful. Even though we didn't get that final showdown between Rick and The Governor many looked forward to, part of me is glad that they've decided to carry it over until next season - although there is no denying the brief siege of the prison was a bit anti climactic. So what about these deaths? Well we did lose about 26 (or whatever the teased number was) people but just as we suspected, most of them were Woodbury extras - the only main cast members to buy it being Milton and Andrea. I know Andrea isn't a very popular character but if you didn't think that was an emotional farewell I'd check my pulse, you might just be a Walker! Anyway, what did you think overall?

Game Of Thrones returned for its third season premiere, and shocked audiences with hardly any violence and pretty much no sex or nudity! I have heard the word "boring" thrown around for this episode and I must say I think that's very unfair. Sure nothing particularly significant happened but it's the first ep! They need to set the scene for multiple story strands and kick the third season's plot into gear, and in that regard I think they did a great job. Plus, we got not only Direwolves and Dragons but Giants (or A Giant) as well! I really wasn't expecting that, despite them featuring in the books. And what about that ending? I bet a lot of you forgot old Barristan "The Bold" Selmy! Was this a satisfactory season opener for you?

GoT premiere killed it. Walking Dead finale was weak sauce.

The Walking Dead finally was a bit anti-climactic. Will watch Game of Thrones tonight.

Seriously, is anyone going to miss Andrea? It is a shame that they wrote her character to be so stupid.

Andrea's like my wife, for some reason, she needs to be looking at the person when she's talking to them and stops doing what she needs to do - like driving, or better yet, getting the stupid pliers to save her life!!!

TWD finale was great. Loved the prison trap. The Govener is Fn crazy, Carl is a badass, and why is Glenn still alive? Is he on the show so the p*ssy's watching the show think they would survive?

Yeah I love Walking Dead and will continue to watch it but that last episode was very, very anti-climactic. They should have found a better way to bring Tyresse into the group. Something more dramatic than that.

Still it was an excellent season so you cant let one bad apple spoil the bunch.

And Andrea looked hot on talking dead a couple weeks ago. I think she had like 3rd most kills on the show. Yea I'd miss any hot girl killed off. She's not Maggie, but any guy on this site wouldn't be good enough to give this chick the time of day.

That's what bothered me most was the Governor's purge of his "army". I mean I get that they weren't soldiers, but some of em had guns and it doesn't take a soldier to point a gun and fire it if your [frick]ing life is in danger! No way that many people just turn and run. Stupid.

They both were boring to be honest.

The walking dead best scene was the Governor killing off his own men.

The best scene in the GOT Season 3 episode 1 was between tywin and tyrion, otherwise I was like this was a poor way to open the season.

TWD didnt seem that anti climatic for me. Ricks group stragedy was good, but why didnt take out the guys that stayed outside, hopp on the mounted and mow the gov and freinds down as they came out. I like the fact that the gov makes it to the next season. He is a good villian and I look forward to his exploits next season.

GoT was alittle slow for me. It was still good but seemed like a warm up for things to come. The show took so long to get into the fantasy part of the world, but now that we are here, it still feels like a tease of whats to come. I want more dragons and whitewalkers, but we only get glimses and breif nods. Love the show though, and I'm excited for the rest of the season.

I thought both were great! I love how u never know what is going to happen in either show. That's one o the main reasons why I watch these shows...

I think what Rick did was perfect for his character arc for this season. He's finally coming back down to earth and realizing that he has to change what his son is turning into... basically a little governor.

Now everyone can go back to hating Carl again...

Oh and andrea's death didnt make alot of sense. Yeah she was beaten and worn out, but she got free with enough time to handle zombie milton. she struggled with him but all throughout the season she has been shown to be a zombie killing machine. They should have left her one hand still chained, cause otherwise she would have been able to defend herself. I aint even gonna mention her talking to much.

I'm all for change from the comics, but killing Andrea was too much. Not only was it a bad decision, it just ruined the entire season for me. I think they did it because they don't know where to go once the prison storyline is finished. I don't think they want to go for the whole cannibal from the comic route, and introducing Negan is too soon.

After the way the writers mutilated Andrea's character for three seasons, I guess killing her off was all that was left.

Overall an okay WD finale. I thought the ending was great, but the prison battle sucked. I don't care what excuse they gave, you don't hype up a war between two groups for 7 months, only to have everyone to come out okay. You just don't.

I don't know that Carl was necessarily too out of order. Ok so the kid was most likely giving up, but he was told to drop the gun and he didn't..after everything that's happened obviously Carl is gonna be more ruthless. The kid was part of a group that arrived to wipe him and his family out..[frick] him!

Carl is definitely getting on my last nerve now after doing so well for most of the season. Glad Andrea's dumb ass is dead. Dieing because of her own stupidity (pausing every few minutes and chatting) was fitting.

Ror

Its not so much that he killed the kid. Him not listening, and being an all around douche to everybody, is what gets me. Granted its not really his fault. They have been making him seem like a good soilder, up until the last couple of episodes this season. Now he thinks he knows better than everybody else, again not his fault, but he is letting me down.

TWD was weak as water. And I've only started to watch THRONES so, I'm too far back to comment.

But after last night, I'm itching for some big blue.

@LoudLon Leave your comic spoilers out of this. Not everyone are familiar. Far as Andrea, people not like her because she's a whore and her good deeds seem insincere. She's trying to bake brownies to get into heaven after doing foul shit. Mishonne tried to warn her but she was such an idiot she didn't listen- even blew a chance to kill the Governor.

I've NEVER felt emotionally attached to her. My emotional draw came from Mishonne and how Andrea's "death" effected HER. Merle was more tragic and hes a racist asshole.

When the Governor killed all of his own people was crazy. When that happened I was left speechless. Also Carl shooting that kid was pretty chilling.

The Walking Dead was awful, they killed andrea instead of fixing her, they will drag governor shit one more season or half season. Really bad written.
Now, GOT, was well written, slow, but exciting. GOT was awesome, TWD failed.

I thought both were AWESOME. Sooo much foreshadowing on GOT, and it would've been way too early for the Governor to be eliminated as an antagonist. Couldn't agree more with Carl's decision to put that kid down...HE WAS WAY TOO CLOSE for Carl to do anything at that point but put him down. He was told to put his gun down, and continued to approach the "seemingly" weak member of the group as if to hand him his gun. If Carl would've repeated the command or turned to look at Hershel he would've been disarmed. Then when he "checked" his father...fcuking perfect...loved the ep.

GOT delved into the fantasy aspect of the show much more, and I couldn't be happier. I didn't like that Ghost wasn't with Jon Snow...but I can understand why they took that route. Can't wait to see Arya next week (hopefully), and her start down the path of becoming one of the most BAD@SS characters on the show!

GoT was good, Walking Dead wasn't terrible. Two things I will forever remember about TWD finale though.
1.) When Andrea drops the pliers, me yelling out, "That's it! I hope she dies. If for no other reason other than the fact that she can't wrap her fingers around those stupid things, I hope she dies right now."
2.) When Andrea's bite mark was revealed, my brother jumping off the couch, clapping his hands, going "YEEEAAAAAHHH!!!!"

We both had felt that maybe she could have a little bit of redemption, but we were glad to see her go.

Carl was bang on to shoot that other kid, you cant take any chances in that sort of world. If you hesitate you'll be the one that dies. All the other kid had to do was drop the gun the moment carl aimed his at him but he didn't and instead moved closer. This so called "kid" was also the one spearheading the charge into the cells.

Like carl said, if rick had killed the governor merle would still be alive, if rick had killed andrew then t-dog and lori would be alive, if carl had killed that walker dale would still be alive. You can also apply this to michonne who if she had finished of the governor, no one would have died, if andrea had killed the governor when she had the chance, milton and other woodbury members would still be alive. Look what happened when maggie and glenn decided to mess around with merle instead of dropping him. This is why you always have to have a "shane" in the group. Someone who doesn't mess around of fanny about and gets the job done and doesn't hesitate. Someone who's prepared to make the tough decisions. Rick probably wouldn't have killed those walkers in the barn back in season 2. Also cant believe that I was saddened by andreas's death, I haven't liked the character since day 1.
