The Walking Dead went out with a...whimper? Actually I thought it was pretty good; not what I was expecting but still quite powerful. Even though we didn't get that final showdown between Rick and The Governor many looked forward to, part of me is glad that they've decided to carry it over until next season - although there is no denying the brief siege of the prison was a bit anti climactic. So what about these deaths? Well we did lose about 26 (or whatever the teased number was) people but just as we suspected, most of them were Woodbury extras - the only main cast members to buy it being Milton and Andrea. I know Andrea isn't a very popular character but if you didn't think that was an emotional farewell I'd check my pulse, you might just be a Walker! Anyway, what did you think overall?
Game Of Thrones returned for its third season premiere, and shocked audiences with hardly any violence and pretty much no sex or nudity! I have heard the word "boring" thrown around for this episode and I must say I think that's very unfair. Sure nothing particularly significant happened but it's the first ep! They need to set the scene for multiple story strands and kick the third season's plot into gear, and in that regard I think they did a great job. Plus, we got not only Direwolves and Dragons but Giants (or A Giant) as well! I really wasn't expecting that, despite them featuring in the books. And what about that ending? I bet a lot of you forgot old Barristan "The Bold" Selmy! Was this a satisfactory season opener for you?
