The SDCC trailer for She-Hulk: Attorney At Law teased appearances from the likes of Daredevil and The Wrecking Crew, and head writer Jessica Gao has now promised that the show will feature more big cameos.

The first teaser for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was met with something of a mixed reaction from fans, but the full trailer that debuted during San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend seemed to go over a lot better.

The footage featured noticeably improved VFX, fourth wall-breaking, funny gags, and brief appearances from several obscure Marvel Comics characters such as Man Bull, Frog Man, and The Wrecking Crew. Of course, Daredevil also showed up right at the end, and it sounds like the Disney+ series has a few more surprises in store.

While speaking to Deadline at SDCC, head writer Jessica Gao confirmed that certain Marvel Comics heroes and villains will be making their MCU debuts during the show.

"It's a lot of fun, a lot of cameos, and a lot of characters that have never existed in the MCU before that we’re pulling out of the comic books. What I'm most excited about is really getting the time and the space to explore this character fully. Because in the Marvel movies, it's always these high-stakes events—the universe is ending, half the people in the entire existence are getting snapped out. We never really have the time to explore who these people are. What are their regular lives like? And what's really nice about this is we actually get the time and the space to do that."

We wouldn't be surprised if Gao was referring to some of the lower-tier characters Jennifer Walters will encounter as she heads-up her Superhuman Law Firm, but there's always a chance we'll see at least one major player put in an appearance to set-up more street level adventures down the line.

Given his many brushes with the law, is Frank Castle a possibility? Fans are hoping to see Jon Bernthal reprise his role from Netflix's now defunct Marvel shows, but She-Hulk may not be the best fit for The Punisher from a tonal standpoint!

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk. The nine-episode series welcomes a host of MCU vets, including Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong. The cast also includes Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry. Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kat Coiro and Jessica Gao. Co-executive producers are Wendy Jacobson and Jennifer Booth.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is set to premiere on Disney+ on August 17.

This show looks super fun! I'm looking forward to many surprises, and if its a hit, I bet season 2 will be even more wild with cameos.

I hate the excuse of “may not be a tonal fit.” You know how many characters mixed in the comics that whose tones from perspective fits didnt fit? That’s almost the point in a crossover to creatively come up with something to make it work. They all exist in the same universe so I don’t know why there is a question.

@krayzeman - I think the fact that it's "not a tonal fit" is exactly why it would work. Like Daredevil Frank can be the straight man that the comedy works off of. I can totally see Frank coming to see Jen in her office for legal advice and she does a 4th wall break and Frank is like "Who the hell are you talking to?" And she's like "Oh, no one" and then turns to the camera and says "Ouch, we've got a feisty one here" and Frank is like "Okay, you're batshit crazy lady. I'm outta here!" and storms out. And Jen is like "Okay, well then go punish someone or something or whatever it is you do". See there? BAM! Comedy gold right there.

@krayzeman - they stuck a gun toting raccoon into their darkest film ever. I don't see how that can be a problem.

I honestly think this would be one of the most appropriate places to reintroduce Deadpool before his solo movie. Given his line of work he's bound to need a lawyer at some point and both him and Jen breaking the fourth wall could be a really interesting source of comedy. Having said that, might be a bit too distracting because he's such a big personality.

@AC1 - I would think it would come as a fourth wall breaking rather than him showing up as a client.

I do agree that he would end up upstaging her on her own show.

@thewanderer - @AC1 It could be fun banter between them trying to win over the viewers love and support.

@DoubleD - well I didn’t expect to like Miss Marvel but it turns out I like it the most, she was the most heroic and it played out the most like a marvel movie. Second is WandaVision and that is a very good one. I used to hate falcon and the Winter soldier but I must say it has a lot of good stuff to counterbalance a lot of bad stuff. The other things so far are just kind of boring with some good parts. she hulk looks amazing. Hope it actually is

@TheWalkingCuban - The whole Hulk world and comics are filled with Cosmic characters.

Silver Surfer, Galactus could make a cameo :)
Blastaar

@TheWalkingCuban - Yeah, I'm still tripping about Ms.Marvel and how good it was, not because my expectations were so low(they were) but because it WAS genuinely good, WAY better than expected.
TheWalkingCuban
TheWalkingCuban - 7/28/2022, 12:49 AM
@Blastaar - exactly. If I had one complaint it would be the extras as main characters and I don’t mean the family, I mean the Djinn. I call it… Larpers. They have big roles but dress about as comic booky as the frikkin Hand on DDS2 or Defenders. Flag Smashers, Loki’s transformations, the straight up Larpers, I can’t stand that. They act very one note. But the family had so much heart! Way surpasses my complaints. Also at least the main Djinn villainess WAS very good. But man. Ms Marvel herself was DEFINITELY Peter Parker levels of good. Better than America Chavez who was meh. And the heroics were heroic. So yes. A show finally topped Wandavision. It’s top notch MCU.
Blastaar
Blastaar - 7/28/2022, 8:16 AM
@TheWalkingCuban - Yes VEEEERY unexpected. You said Peter Parker, and that is EXACLTY what I was saying while watching it. I was like, MAN, they NEED to make her team up with Spidey. It'd be a VERY interesting dynamic, plus her identity is known, at least to her friends & family(I think everybody if I'm not mistaken) but his is not, they'll be a lot of conversations revolving around that too. Which, thinking about that, is dangerous for MOST heroes as they know to target your friends & family to get to you, because they know that's your weakest point.
TheWalkingCuban
TheWalkingCuban - 7/28/2022, 8:49 AM
@Blastaar - right and I suppose it’s got to be a plot point eventually, those around you are in danger because you save people, and even more so if you’re trying to hide it

DartOfHarkness
DartOfHarkness - 7/27/2022, 12:40 PM
I think this is going to be more along the lines of The Suicide Squad. They're going to pull a bunch of obscure people that nobody cares if they do them dirty. You may get one more upper tier hero like Daredevil, but I wouldn't expect too many with that household, name brand recognition
thewanderer
thewanderer - 7/27/2022, 12:56 PM
@DartOfHarkness - one thing that surprised me in another clip they showed, is that it sounds like Wong is going to be in multiple episodes, and maybe just short of a series regular.
