great news, I think Caine makes a great Alfred.
Maybe Alfred will finally get a mustache in the fourth movie ;)

Caine is awesome and all, but I'd rather them do Batman Beyond for the reboot..

I'd rather not have him in the reboot. I think he should remain as a spectacular part of Nolan's run, and end it there. I want the reboot to be a LOT more comicbookish and have as little links to Nolan's films as possible. Nolan's films to me are the same as Burton's in the sense that both are great "What If" Elseworlds type of stories. They stand alone and i want the reboot to be it's own stand alone thing aswell.

Caine is the shit. I would prefer if the reboot had an entirely new cast...

Uh huh... he and Morgan Freeman have both stated that it was only a cash-gig before. Now they're all in for the joy of their characters?

God I love him.

Only thing is if Chris Nolan was pissed that he said he was doing Batman, how pissed is he going to be when he finds out he just revealed that they are half way through, that shooting took place at Walton Hall, the music will be Dark, and that shooting is taking place in America. I know we all knew that, but still it was never officially confirmed by anyone.

The guy is a legend for sure but was always miscast as Alfred. But still not a major complaint.

I am glad to see Nolan's run coming to an end. I want the next Bats to be set in a fantasy world, better known as the DC Universe. Somewhere where we can see Clayface, Killer Croc and such but still keep it fairly dark and gritty ala Burton's without the camp

@BFGLOOM: the girl I'm teabag's pic is Lucy Pinder.

In regards to this article, I'd love Michael Caine return as Alfred. He's great in the role and I'd hate to see him recast and the rest of this series rebooted. We don't need a reboot just Nolan and company are leaving.

Caine should be Alfred in the Justice League film! That'd piss Nolan off.
Teabag@BFGLOOM - Don't forget Babestation's Daryl Morgan. One of the hottest women on te planet. No contest.

I think they should make Batman movies like James Bond films. Each cast does a few movies then someone else comes in for a few.

Michael Caine is a National Treasure. Loved the late Michael Gough too - wanted to cry for him in those appalling Shumacher films. He was easily the best thing in both of them.

@ patriautism- I agree. Give Bruce Wayne a rest and let a new Batman do the work for a few movies and then come back to the basics.

No freaking reboot! They are ruin everything again! I grew up loving DC Comics, but am starting to hate Warner Bros. Just get David S. Goyer to direct the next trilogy. Recast Batman/Wayne and do everything else as a continuance. They already fricked up Green Lantern. They have great characters. Why do they have to do such piss-poor movies about them (Nolan's in exclusion). The execs at WB need to get their shit together or step down.
GazelTGM
GazelTGM - 7/20/2011, 11:47 AM
No reboot please. WB can do eight Harry Potter movies but not more than three successful Batman movies. I will be uninterested in a reboot.

I love Michael Caine, he is a true legend of the acting profession but after this movie, please re-cast.

Caine's portrayal of Alfred was bloody perfect and he made the role so interesting but I want a new take on it for the next trilogy. Same goes for the rest of the cast: all the cast are fantastic but it needs recasting for a new trilogy

one question I have to ask is unless the ending of the movie [frick]s up the overall story i.e. Batman or any of the villains dying, why the hell does this have to be a reboot?!

They could just do a loose continuation of Nolan's movies but begin to introduce more non-realistic villains such as Killer Croc etc. If Nolan's movies were about Batman's war against the mob, a new trilogy continuing on from Nolan's trilogy could be about Batman's war against the new evil of Gotham i.e. the freaks

@Lewis25
Awesome idea, couldnt have put it better myself

hell yeah @ mbomb22 & airbeyonder18 & GazelTGM & schneider625

I do not agree at all @ Shaman, reboot is pointless

Will be no reboot.

reasons
1. when TDKR pockets 400+ Mil.
2. GL didn't make its budget.
3. Wonder Woman can't get a series.
4. Superman will make around 250 mil.

WB would be stupid to drop the Nolan franchise for JL.
Its not going to happen, investors at WB will krap a brick.
