CAPTAIN MARVEL Star Brie Larson Wants Ms. Marvel To Join Her In The Eventual Sequel
With early box office projections pointing to Captain Marvel scoring a $100M opening, we're most likely going to get a sequel. Now, Brie Larson has said she wants Ms. Marvel to appear in the follow-up...
A few months ago, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said that Ms. Marvel being brought to the big screen is "definitely sort of in the works." That was music to the ears of comic book fans, and the most logical place for her to appear is obviously an eventual Captain Marvel sequel.
That's where the character made her debut before launching into a popular solo series and during a recent press event, Brie Larson made it clear that she hopes to see the Muslim superhero join her in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the not too distant future.
"My dream would be that Ms. Marvel gets to come into play," the Oscar-winner said when asked which superhero she wants Carol Danvers to interact with if her first movie gets a sequel.
It would be interesting to see how Marvel Studios handles that, especially when common sense suggests that Monica Rambeau (who we'll meet as a child in Captain Marvel) will be suiting up in the sequel. We'll obviously have to wait and see, but the future is definitely looking bright for female superheroes in the MCU and Ms. Marvel could easily end up leading her own franchise.
