Rosamund Pike Enrolling in X-Men: First Class as Emma Frost?

Die Another Day actress, Rosamund Pike is being rumored to portray the white queen, Emma Frost, in Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class Check it Out!

According to Forces of Geek, English actress Rosamund Pike, who played Miranda Frost in Die Another Day, is testing and possibly being chosen to play Emma Frost in First Class. The source says...

"One of my FOG! Operatives in Jolly Ole England passed along some fairly solid information regarding Rosamund Pike testing and very possibly being cast in the role of Emma Frost in the upcoming X-Men: First Class movie."

"Apparently, Pike, who has been a fan favorite for the role, was spotted around Lucinda Syson's offices. Lucinda worked as First Class director Matthew Vaughn's casting director on Kick-Ass and Stardust."

In creditability defense (Forces of Geek) say that they too, "had the Michael Fassbinder and Jamie Bell rumors in (their) inbox." And that there are two other names attached to Magneto, who actor Michael Fassbender is currently rumored to play, or a 'Spider-Man' villain.

In the previous 'X-Men' movie, Wolverine Origins, Emma Frost was played by actress Tahyna Tozzi, (Pictured right) in the film's ending. And being that is was a minor role, this recast of Rosamund may not be such a big deal. We last saw Emma Frost in what basically is a cliffhanger for 'First Class' with her and a few near future 'First Class' students run to Professor X(Who will be played by James McAvoy in the upcoming adaption).

Directed by Matthew Vaughn, First Class begins production this summer for a June 3, 2011 release.

Christ, this movie sounds like yet another huge continuity mess! If this is true, we're supposed to forget about the Emma Frost from Wolverine (thank God as that was a horrible casting choice) but the fact that Pike is older than the teenage team rules out an appearence from her in a possible X-Men 4 as she'd be in her 40's or 50's by then in this timeline! [frick] this movie and [frick] Fox.

Oh, and Miranda Raison for Emma Frost in a proper X-Men movie!

I can see it. Not too keen on the age. it might cause some continuity problems. When I get a computer again, I will post my X-men First Class outline on here.

My writing is going to be put on hold sadly. I am writing a screenplay for an indie film! So that is going to take up my time.

well, Emma in Wolverine was a decent choice. Emma wasn't always a looker. i read once where she aid she had plastic surgery done to make herself look better.

I love her, she looks the part and is a great actress. The timeline sure is wonky, though.

Oh well, so far I'm liking this project :')

@ Cap the whole thing with Continuity is the movies are made by the same studio & made close into time relation. So we are happy they are being made. But come on its 1st Class. So there should be some continuity!

although i do love the choice of Pike for Emma Frost, why aren't we boycotting Fox?why can't Fox just leave Marvel alone?!
X-men Origins: Wolverine and X-men: The Last Stand were definitley the worst of the series.
my main problem is that they kept the focus on Wolverine until even the little kids got bored with him.
then there's the fact that this isn't regular Marvel Movieverse continuity which means that whatever Fox does is moot after Marvel gets the film rights back.
of course that could be fifteen to twenty years from now. until then, we will have to sit through the Fox-men.

btw
don't forget to check out Part VII of my Spider-man story! just click the pic!

@Spock, theres nothing i hate more than changes to the continuity, but no one has said anything about that, she could just play her during a different timeline in the movie. 2 different actors played Wolverine in Origins lol doesnt mean anything.

@Teabag, lol i was there the first day Punisher War Zone came out lololololol and ill be there the first day the new Spider-Man reboot comes out no matter how much i hate the fact that they arent following up after Spider-Man 3.

Why is everyone freaking out? Who knows, this could be a frame story. say part of it deals with hte formation of hte team, while the rest of it deal with events after X-3. Maybe she is playing an older Emma and they will have someone else as a young Emma.

it is not what I would do, but it is doable.

I think she's perfect, Emma Frost can't be played by some tiny young ass actress, she needs to be sexy yet mature, I think Fox did something right for once

Each movie actually is a show created by Mojo.

The only thing in continuity are the names. Actors, age, powers, looks, everything else is subject to change because Mojo says so!

Well if we are talking Marvel, I gotta say that i think X2 is the best out of all of them. It had an engaging and complex story, good character delopment, and good action scenes.
